It baffles me still seeing comments that "this game isn't released", as if you can't play it right now? It's in alpha, but it's still released enough to play. I just don't understand those criticisms at this point.
I've been a backer for some time now, and I'll be the first to admit sometimes the wait drives me crazy. But the things that are already in alpha are more content than most AAA games released today.

I think we will have pyro in 2023 and they'll prolly do 1.0 with a few more basic systems after that. I don't think they'll wait to have 100 systems for launch and they prolly have a few more basically in the pipe for SQ42

People who haven't played SC probably have no clue how hard those maneuvers are, especially in such close proximity. This roll was just so well executed 0:38
This! This isn't like X-Wing or Tie Fighter, where you can ace-pilot through asteroids with ease. This game's flight model is SUPER hard to learn and master. I still pat myself on the back just for being able to successfully land at Lorville without scraping the sides of those relatively tiny hangar bay doors.
Oh It's VERY hard.. it's hard enough in a game with a decent physics model.. with one as BROKEN as SCs thesebtypesbof maneuvers are damn near miraculous
On the other hand, it reminds me of Initial D. In that anime, the main character drives so fast that every time it shows the interior of his car you can hear the gentle chime of a speed warning from his car Kinda hot
That Idris flying that low is really impressive, plus seems like the desync really seems to be far smaller, impressive how close some of those flights where mate, congrats on all the skilled flying, always a joy to watch.
These guys fly like a mixture of Blue Angels in Space and a gang of desert raiders who just spotted a juicy convoy flying through their territory. Brilliant maneuvering all around as usual, Terada and Co.!

Seule concession, j'aurais adoré voir quelques plans de pilotages de plus 5 secondes car vous savez voler longtemps en formation, mais je comprend que ca aurait cassé le rythme !
Great flying and formations!! For me personally there are too many cuts in the video. I would enjoy longer scenes, to really take all of it in with more time. Many amazing camera shots to look at, but i could not fully enjoy them.

This looks incredible, and as a dual joystick guy I appreciate how hard it is to fly like this. This is going on my "how to get people into star citizen" playlist for sure! I just REALLY wish that they would up the atmospheric drag physics. And decrease jerk(change in acceleration over time) for non racing ships and light fighters. The game looks so incredible when a skilled pilot is flying, but new players who never use decoupled mode and use mouse and keyboard have such a completely different experience.

@@mattstephen7494 There are some bounty missions near restricted areas with missile turrets. This kind of flying is ABSOLUTELY necessary for those kinds of missions. Even though they were rated VLRT, they were in a very hostile area, and I just didn't have the skill to fly in-atmosphere, dogfighting those guys while trying to dodge the turret fire.
As a dude that just got the game and went straight down from tutorial to a desert full speed and 200 altitude and duel of fate in the ear, THE GRIND STARTS NOW
They NEED to make Star Citizen a VR game eventually. It even fits the vibe of Star Citizen trying to be as realistic as possible. I don't even think they'll have to change that much. The cockpits are fully made to mostly function on their own. The ships are fully modeled. The main UI is a hologram on your wrist so they just need to mke it interactable. They already have code in the game for turning your head for face tracking. And most things done in this game are physical. Their even making switching out parts physical.

So the close flying changes to prevent phantom impacts are working then? As a space trucker with a C2 it's not something I would get much value out of, but glad its working for those that enjoy it.
Well done! Your stunt flying is inspiring. Do you and your crew pull this off on the spot or do you plan your exact maneuvers and formations? I would also like to see some „military“ formation flying in combat. Still don‘t know know if an engagement can end in something else than a chaotic furball.

In reality fighter pilots fly low to evade radar detection. Perhaps SC will implement something similar.

It's mostly all on the spot, with some training on how to fly in close formation At least that's what i gathered after watching quite a lot of streams
