    I am 15 and looking to be getting a 250 crf trail bike soon and do you think a back brace will be needed?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 года назад +1

    FYI if you have A impact on your helmet you should replace it. mips dosen't mean you can reuse the helmet multiple times after a impact... mips helps with if your head bounces or Rotates in a crash.. its basically a slip zone in the helmet to mimic the human brain slippage In the skull.
    multi impact protection system refers to the different/ multiple angles In which impacts occur

      Thank you! I have seen this technology in ski/snowboard helmet for years, and was glad to see the technology take over the dirt bike helmet market too!
      Thank you for the info I really appreciate it!

    I have a helmet that I think doesn't have mips. What kind of impact to the helmet would it take for me to get it inspected or get a new one?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 года назад +2

      So the impact would have to be pretty hard to compromise the safety of the helmet. I had helmet that I wore all the time, then one day noticed the inside styrofoam was cracked. I got a new helmet after I saw that, but the helmet was still keeping me safe.
      Next time you upgrade your helmet, just look for one with mips to provide better more consistent safety through out the life time of the helmet! Thank you for watching!

      @@RadAdventureDude Maybe what range of rpm its safe to shift in

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 года назад +2

      So I would try to listen to the rpm level of the dirt bike. You will hear the rpm level continue climbing as you continue accelerating. As it gets higher you will hear where it stops climbing, and just holds a consistent high rpm level. You will want to shift gears right before this point where the rpm’s top out in the gear!

    Why would someone choose a knee brace, over knee pads?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 года назад +2

      They may have recently had a knee injury, or really want to keep their knees safe!
      Knee braces help with hypertension, or any other type of rotational knee injury! However they are bulky and can be a lot to water while riding.
      The kneepads provide protection from impacts from debris on the tracks and trails. I have found newer knee pads to provide impact protection, with some rotational impacts as well protecting the sides of the knee!
      Hope this helps!
