  • What’s up guys! This is the 2023 Passport by Honda, it’s rocking a 3.5 V6 making an earth shattering 280HP, and it goes through an AWD system, that may be FWD biased. With all that said, I like it!

I just picked up a 2023. Coming from a 2020 CRV. Longtime Honda owner. Still have my 2005 CRV. I’m 6’1”. I haul an Alumna trailer for my dirt bike. Have all my riding gear and tools in the cargo area with plenty of room to spare. My Labrador likes the backseat. To me the Passport feels like an upsized CRV.
It has everything I liked about the CRV but with more room inside, better visibility, better power. Only negative is give up some gas mileage versus CRV. If you’re used to Hondas, the cabin controls, etc., you’ll feel right at home.

We just purchased one just like this, without the running boards, we are really enjoying it. The color is beautiful and to be honest, for them to have the EX-L as the basic trim, it comes fully loaded, has parking sensors, power lift gate, blind spot monitoring, heated leather seats, sunroof, LED lighting and come on AWD, to our like its perfect, it is missing foglights but we havent really used them in our previous cars. Thanks for such a good review of the car.

I have a 2022 Passport (Touring) which is the highest trim level here in Canada and I love it. Great build quality, ride, power, reliability and trade in value when it comes time to do that. Hard to ask for more than that. I would definitely 💯% buy it again if I was asked whether I would or not.

I purchased the 2019 Passport Elite new 06/2019 and love it. Turned 60K miles this week. I average 22 MPG mixed driving. Plenty of room and comfortable for me, I'm 6'4. Lots of cargo space and it occasionally tows my small utility trailer. Great in snow, city or highway driving. More passenger room than most midsized SUVs. The Elite is loaded with features, more than the EXL shown in the video. Heated and ventilated seats, Roof, pull up Sunshades in rear doors etc. I purchased my first Pilot in 2005 and drove it for 10years no issues at all. Next was a 2016 Acura MDX for 4 years, loved it. Now the 2019 Passport and it just came out at the time, and I didn't need three rows of seats. The Elite has most of the options my MDX had. The MDX Ride was better than the Passport, but it was also better than the BMW X5 I rented for 10 days while on vacation. The Passport has a very solid ride, and it sits a little higher than the MDX, so probably explains why them MDX rides better. I would recommend this car to anyone.

I had a ‘21 Passport Elite, which I replaced with my ‘22 Mercedes E450 All-Terrain Wagon. But since I missed the big, boxy rear storage area of the Passport (the new Pilot does not have the rear hatch height of the Passport, to the point that a 30” tall dog crate will NOT fit into the Pilot, while the Passport can easily swallow it up), I went back and added a ‘24 Passport Trailsport. Love it !

But maybe the Toyota Highlander (although I have no personal experience with them..yet), a Subaru Ascent or Mazda CX9. With the third row folded down they’re similarly sized for cargo capacity.
