I love rewatching ep and being blessed with a new one every Friday
midwest tornadoes are no joke. when I was little a tornado ran through our very small town and fucked up a school (that had to be partially rebuilt) and some houses. the amazing thing though is that it DID run through our yard, but only destroyed the fence separating us from our neighbors. we were shocked since that house is currently 153 years old with a big barn in the back and the only thing protecting us was a scary ass basement that we never used. It was truly a miracle lmfao.

Damien Chazelle had wrote the feature and then just took a chunk out of it to turn into a short film as a proof of concept which was then entered into festivals and screened at Sundance where it won like best short and got enough funding from different production companies to film the full feature
