Oh Nikky, when I saw health update, I got really worried! I'm so sorry to hear about the gallbladder issues. But I am glad that you will have surgery and you will be feeling much better! I have known people to have it act up and it is very painful. I am glad the doctor OK the trip. Never feel like you have to post each week, your health is important! Hope you have an amazing experience in Egypt with your family and all goes as planned. So sorry you are not feeling well and glad you are getting to the bottom of it. When I faced gallbladder issues decades ago, I really wanted to avoid surgery due to complications so did some research and found I needed some diet changes. Mainly no spicy/fatty foods and used apple cider vinegar with water/juice for attacks. Hope you have a safe trip too..

I had gallbladder surgery about 13 years ago. It's an easy surgery, but it takes your body about a year to realize it doesn't have a gallbladder. Dont start off eating fatty food because you'll have extreme tummy surgery and diarrhea. I'll be thinking and praying for you, Nikki.

Hopefully, Your gallbladder is calm and you don't have another flare up while you're in Egypt. When you return home, I pray surgery is scheduled as soon as possible. I had my gallbladder removed. I know the pain you have is excruciating at times and I'm very sorry.
Sorry you are not feeling well. Gall bladder pain is awful. The surgery and recovery are not bad. While you are waiting for surgery, try to restrict oil, butter and fatty foods - that will help reduce or avoid the painful bladder attacks.

I'm sure you know to be careful in Egypt, but one day we walked only from the taxi into the museum and the top of my scalp burned through my hair!
