This is the closest we ever got to a vocaloid anime. I even started writing the plot where Miku is the new girl in school who's been isolated from music and only taught piano until she meets Ren and lin and they start a band and slowly get more members and they're called "vocal 6"

The reason why there isn't an anime is because the anime wouldn't be interesting without personalities, so they'd have to decide them for the characters. And if they did that, it would be difficult to write songs. And I kind of see why.
