Contemporary critique suggested this is an opera based on Vergil's Aeneid, and that mood emerges profoundly from this performance, with its sense of both longing and journey compressed into quartet format. Like Aeneas perhaps Mozarts long and arduous musical journey results in arrival and the creation of something rather special. Beautiful. My model performance! K421
