I cannot study with any music. With Baroque, I begin day dreaming about glorious European palaces and intricate formal gardens. Then it gets personal and I see myself as a Lord in my drafty but elegant country estate trying to deal with all the paperwork with only a quiver and an inkpot that desperately needs more ink! Confound that lazy maid! I have told her over and over to keep my inkpot full. Whenever I need her, she seems to be down at the stables flirting with the stable boys. Sigh.....I guess I will have to ring for the butler. (An hour later I realize I have not read even a paragraph of my textbook!).
Perhaps you should turn this fantasy into a book, Arizona! Sounds a bit like Downton Abbey, or at least that's what we're imagining 😂 even if you didn't find it particularly helpful for studying, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the compilation! I would like to add that this is excellent selection of music for Spring Cleaning your house bedroom or apartment . Minimalist mom has great suggestions for letting go of whatever clutter is keeping your stuck, poor or unwell. Circulate what you are really not enjoying on a daily basis ! Make room in your space for what your really want and need !

Vivaldi makes beautiful music. They all do but his seems to be my favorite. I heard about him back in high school in music appreciation and I’ve been stuck on his work as well as baroque all together.

For anyone wondering, this really does help you study and focus better, on a day that I was sleep deprived and exhausted, I managed to do all of the an hour and half study (which is the most I've ever actually done on a school night) and it kept me awake and going till the last minute! Also the information just seemed to seep into my brain somehow.

I came here after reading a Stanford study that found that baroque compositions for some reason help you concentrate. The transitions between movements, helps activate the different networks in the brain, that are connected with paying attention and predicting events.
