When i started doing this in the mid 80's it was only a few of us that showed up, if we had 10 or 12 people that was a big crowd. they would open the door and you had the full ten minutes to look as a team just standing in front all at the same time, it was not a popular thing. it was easy making money then. then the tv shows came out, storage wars, container wars, auction hunters, etc. so many people were showing up it was ridiculous. it was nothing to have over 500 people show up. Then they started making you line up in a single file and walked you pass the open door, no stopping just like cattle going to slaughter and now your ten minutes turned into less than a 10 second peak because you had to get everyone a chance past that door and you couldn't give everybody 10 minutes anymore. price tags shot up because of those shows showing treasures in every single unit. 1 i went to was represented from 3 different states watching license plates when i drove past the cars were parked up and down the road on both sides, i bet there was over a thousand people that day. units that would have sold around the $100 range were bringing over $500 and the 1 unit that should have brought just shy of $1,000 or even $1,000 brought $3,000 that day. Got so bad because of the shows they started limiting it to adults only, could not bring your kids anymore to free up congestion and then they started charging $5 just to show up but if you brought a unit, they deducted it from the bill. didn't buy a unit, you got charged the $5 for being a spectator. i quit going to them when these tv watchers showed up, they killed the profit. i probably stayed away for 4 or 5 years and out of the blue i got a call one day from a friend that knew in the past i wouldn't miss one asking me why i wasn't at the storage unit auction across from sam's? Turned out he was the only one there and brought all three units for $25 each. so i started going to them again. for a while it was pretty thin or a small crowd but now with you tube making it popular again, it is hit or a miss on the size of the crowd that shows up.
I do like the boxes I do like the dollies The TV if this was about 50 bucks I'd consider it But as it's crazy as they've been there probably over pay for it
WOW people were spending 100s for trash runs most of those high ticket units wont make a dime...perversely some of the cheap trash units might make a dollar
Is the tree and the Walker wouldn't tempt me to bid on that unit that Jim Watts but I don't only want it for Like 20 bucks And I probably won't get it Cause they're crazier than me
Too much for the second unit That doll house isn't even worth as much as what they're bidding You'll be lucky to make any money at the price that they're Paying unless that doghouse is worth a fortune which I doubt it
The best thing about this auction was the company you were able to go with! But you all had fun and that’s all that matters ❤
Yes, you are right. It was a great time. 🥰
So far I haven't seen anything I would bid on and I'm about a little over halfway
We have to agree 👍
Hello friends KT treasures that sure is a big crowd more people than lockers. I hope youall the best a Cajun from Louisiana.
Thanks for watching 👀 Hope you enjoy our channel 🥰
The starting bid was all the value for most of these units.
It sure seemed that way on some of the units
That "incredible" unit would take an army to clean out. 😂😂😂😂😂
Without a doubt 🤣

We almost went to this auction, but we went elsewhere. With all those people, I'm glad we didn't go. Not many good units.

Too much for a with gun cases and marble table too high
Never know what you're going to find
With the way that the stuff was put in there I doubt there was any guns
Too much for unit 5 with 2 doors they are carzy
It was an interesting looking unit
