Never underestimate camouflage.
Man I wish Wilds would make camouflage a thing instead of monsters just going transparent like Chameleos or Nargacuga. Like imagine tracking a monster and then the track just stops and you actually have to look for places where the monster could be hiding to ambush you.
@@ArifRWinandar basarios back in 1st gen was quite good at that. Now in 4th and 5th gen it just sticks out like a sore thumb lol.

The one thing I don't see too many people comment on is besides the amazing animation (we all love seeing monsters behave like animals, so thank you for providing that fix) Tea also has incredible Audio! I love the sounds you give the monsters in the ecological videos, it just adds that much more.... Living energy to the animation, just ties it up in a nice bow I love it!

Love how it was just a front for an espinas’s ambush, clever beast always looking for the easiest meals with little risk. Either that or it was pissed that it was woken up, either way, I appreciate this one so much and love how much deeper the lore is getting. Fantastic as always tea.
Given Espinas may have a preference for poison toads and other toxic foods to replenish it’s poison, given how we see it hunt in Rise, May be that the Velocidromes woke it up, and Espinas is exceptionally pissed if you interrupt nap time.

I love the details of moss and leaf on the Espinas carapace, such cool details for an animal that probably rest a lot in the forest floor

My favorite Flying wyvern. So glad Espinas is in the mainline entries now.

These animations always brings me back to seeing the old "ecology" videos on my PSP after having discovered the extras menu playing MHFU. I like all your excellent work, but this is definitely a favorite.

*David Attenborough voice * Espinas are small prey specialists, meaning they are primarily adapted to hunting small animals. As a result, in spite of their huge size, they are far faster than they look and are very well camouflaged in order to take their swift and agile prey by surprise. However, they are not very agile, meaning that if an Espinas misses its initial strike, the prey will have an up to 90% chance of escaping, which results in a failed hunt.
Most of an Espinas’ prey is eaten during the first hour of waking up after sleeping for up to twenty hours, as during the course of its sleep it lures in small creatures using a roselike scent and they accidentally envenomate themselves on the Espinas’ spikes. After finishing breakfast, the Espinas will explore its territory, marking it, driving away intruders, hunting small animals and eating plants, and drinking water. Then it will return to its den to fall asleep, repeating the process.
Looks so familiar and I can’t think it’s anything but a combo in my mind of the opening scene of Dinosaur (with the Carnotaurus in the jungle) and the scene from Jurassic Park where the Tyrannosaurus eats the Gallimimus

Seeing you improve your animation over the years has been great to see. Of course we love all of your animations and we love seeing what you make, but I’ve definitely seen you improve a lot over the past year!
I would love to see more low tier monsters turf war, Pukei vs Aknosom, G.Maccao vs G.Jaggi, Malfestio vs Yian-Kut-Ku, Lagombi vs D.Hermitaur... etc...
You know... fights between monsters that actually have to try to survive and not a turf war between THE KING OF FLAMES VS THE SHADOW OF THE TEMPEST

I really hope wilds expand even further on the ecology, lore and behavior of the monsters! Going on expeditions and seeing random turf wars and monsters roaring in the distance fighting over food, territory and mates, a predator and prey mechanic and monsters stalking you, sniffing you out and not immediately attacking you! More realistic animal behaviors from the monsters, i want to see Smaller and weaker monsters to use intimidation tactics to scare off predators and using camouflage! The possibilities are endless! I really hope they expand and double down on the immersion of the various ecosystems in the game!

Sería grandioso algo semejante a esto. Que se genere una guerra territorial entre dos monstruos pero que, al haber un tercer monstruo de casualidad al inicio de la guerra, la pelea tenga un giro en el que se pelean tres monstruos.
A nivel técnico es todo un desafío y representa un enorme trabajo que tardaría años en hacerse, pero soñar no cuesta.
