the previous owner of my 800s was impaled in the leg in a cc race. She quit racing afterward. they added a tusk skid plate and diamond plate floors afterward.
Most people don’t look at what their floor is rated for in toy haulers. The bumper pull ones are only rated for 1000lbs. They are made for 4 wheelers and motorcycles. That is why your D rings pulled out. Glad to see you guys and the girls are safe.
Have a guide for outlaw trails ride with very seasoned riders. Group is great but you must have guys that know how to navigate those trails without getting flats. Sometimes it is impossible but most of the time its hitting your sidewall on a root or stump. Its almost always driver rubbing the tires on something. Do you know how those flats came about??? Wed love to ride with y'all. Look like a great family. We curse a lot when we get mad then ask god to forgive us...thats my confession......
First thing to do is skid plate and fabricate a wall plate for y ou r front firewall sticks will fly though there and stab you in the chest have seen it many times. Change out those mud tires for big horns you r unit and passengers will thank you for it.... GOD BLESS
Over stressed D rings due to overtightened ratchet straps. I have a quad and only use cam buckle straps in good maintained condition to strap down with.
Yeah I had one come through the floor with a skid plate you dodge the bullet.but you are definitely becoming more experienced riders people make fun of me for trail riding with a crew but I always have the tools and gear when people get stuck or break down I always have extra gas extra tires extra tools my friends call me the service vehicle
Had it happen to me too. Right thru the firewall like a cannon shot and stopped about an inch from my femoral artery. Another few mph and I would have been wearing that lodge pole pine.
Naw, I'm just more careful about watching for those types of dead trees. Though my hit was thru the firewall behind the drivers side tire. A skid plate wouldn't stopped it. It went thru and bounced off my power steering box (knocking the electrical connector off) and jabbed right at my crotch! I've seen the aluminum plates they sell to armor your firewall, but I've never bought any. Thank God your daughter was uninjured.
I have mcnasty firewall gaurds on my xp I soon want to get a full skid plate for it idk why polaris did the skid plate that way. We love the outlaw trails at hatfeild that's all we ride

Adrian Smith to be honest I don’t think we would buy one again, it just doesn’t allow us to do what we hoped it would. When we take a trip with that ranger we have to unload it at night so the girls can get in the bed and it isn’t practical for a trip that will take multiple days to get to. Not sure if a perfect rig exists for our budget but for now it is what we have so it will do!
We had not planned on being out past dark, but with all the mechanical problems and everyone getting stuck it got dark before we could get back. But yes, you are right, it does say no night riding, and it is very dangerous!

Had the same set of Blackwater 8 plies on beadlocks since 2016. No flats - been to HM, Outlaws, Uwharri, CAW, & Windrock. They hook in mud & rocks.

I guess we are both blessed but we are looking into getting a full belly skid for ours! Be careful!

We installed the Ricochet full aluminum skid plates after that trip... they are great!

Mostly factory holes, I think we had to tap two or three. Very easy install overall
