This is simply AMAZING, man. This is the opening track to my favorite album of all time and it's one heck of a tall order to play, much less, ALL parts. Well done!
No wonder they never play this live. I've heard Michael say he doesn't know what how he came up with the material for this album. It's probably their most intricate release in my opinion. YMMV. Great cover. I'm amazed at your skill and precision. Lots of emotion in your playing too. Michael would be proud.

He mentioned that the songs on Still Life were some of his most complicated arrangements. It may be my favourite Opeth album, but that's hard to pick.

simply amazing. very well done and the fact that you learnt it by ear is mind boggling. sure some riffs are easy to parse because a lot of them are a sequence of single notes, but most of the riffs in this song feature weird chords that make it harder to tell what's exactly being played, not to mention the distortion of the guitars AND the fact it's in the context of a full mix. mad respect

One of the best Opeth songs of their discography, that's for sure, I find it so good to play and like Mikael himself said on the stage during the last shows of the XXX Evolution tour (I was there) "it's a little bit of a bitch of a song this one, but sometimes is kind of fun to play" 😄I agree, it's fun but there are some parts that might be tricky while singing on a stage. Your cover is so accurate! Applause!
These covers are unreal man. You both capture the perfect tone/identity of the entire track and still manage to elevate it. The acoustic transition during the bridge is flawless and, quite honestly, a big step above the actual studio production. You've also managed to pick nearly all of my favorite Opeth tracks to cover, so kudos on the great taste as well. Your talent is not wasted on these projects. And if you someday decide to tackle the unfettered beast that is Blackwater Park, know that many of us will rejoice!

That was certainly my plan, and still is to an extent. I think I'm gonna take a break from these for a while though, and focus on my own music. These take longer than I would have thought! I just wanted to get this song specifically done before I moved on. Hopefully I did it justice. I'm sure I'll get to the rest of the album some day. Thanks for watching!

Absolutely amazing cover of a very difficult Opeth song. Can only imagine how much time it must have taken to nail each little detail. Which gear do you if you don't mind? I find the guitar tones very accurate, which amazes me since their guitar tone isn't straight forward to recreate.
