  • When throwing a punch, headbutt, elbow strike or knee it's very easy to use up a lot of energy and become winded in the process. However, one of the keys to effective self-defense is getting the most effect from the least amount of applied effort. This means that when you deliver a strike, your body should be as relaxed as possible. As hard as it is to believe, learning how to remain relaxed is the key to surviving an attack.
