I know others have done this on video. I remember I learned from watching Sol. But with new people I figured it would be good to bring it up again. Did you see Quirky's comment? He removed the tampos with an eraser! That requires elbow grease.
I do this so much I can smell it as I watch you do it 😆. Just one thing, you don’t want to use any color, if you use a black marker on a yellow car it will stain. I see that orange stained the blue a bit, but I think a alcohol wipe can take that off. Your custom game it getting stronger my friend
Try it on a casting you don't love first. I always try new things on cars I don't mind messing up. Also I think it dulls the paint a little. But I've done it on several models after seeing this on Sol's Diecast Odyssey . 2AHD cat says the cheap dry erase markers don't work as well? I had tried nail polish remover before and this works easier.
Thanks! I figured I would pass on what I learned from Sol. You, David and Tiz sort of pushed me into customs. I'm working on a few now. What's your favorite of the "Big 3" Ford, GM or Mopar? Obviously I'm obsessed with Ford.
nope I use a good old regular eraser ( because I don't have a dry erase markers ) and it actually works but its a laborious job btw ive try to enhance my custom and I screw everything up.... :-D so I transform it into an Art Cars :-D :-D
Good to know. I actually didn't know the trick with the dry erase markers.👍
I learned from Sol's Diecast Odyssey it's not too hard. Try it out
This will be handy for reference in the future. Great idea...👍

@@xltoffroadbear I saw the comment....it must have taken so much effort!

Thanks Alex! I'm practicing. I don't think I'll ever be as good as you with the fine detail paint!
Interesting; I'll give it a try someday.

I used dry eraser markers from the 99 Cents Only Store on the red Hot Wheels 1964 Corvette to remove the white circles...worked fine.
Yep, it's a good trick. I learned from Sol of Sol's Diecast Odyssey
good technique ....
nice tutorial my friend
Thanks Kibbo! I learned this from watching Sol. I figured new diecast folks would appreciate seeing it on video.
thank you...🙏🏻
Very interesting. I need to give it a try👍👍👍
Use QUALITY dry erase markers. The cheap ones will mess up the paint or not work well
It works fairly well. I should have said on video that it doesn't work as well on white cars!
Thanks. Great info. Already have one or 2 cars in mind to try it out on
I find that the newer the eraser the better ✌😎👌
Yeah, and I think the orange works better than blue?
Great video

Aurele, now that's "old school" using an eraser ;) And making an "art car" is making lemonade our of lemons! Great way to turn it around!
@@xltoffroadbear at least my old school technique work on white 😊
👍 Thx 🇧🇪.
Thank you too!
But yeah... I learned this technique from Sol-E-Wog too, lol
Yep I watched Sol do it and have done it several times. It works ok.
@@xltoffroadbear AS LONG AS they are QUALITY dry erase markers like the Bics You use (trust me)
