    I played this once in college, our game design professor wanted us to make a tabletop game and brought a collection he had to really bathe us in different systems, I ended up playing Jaipur with a classmate, what a great game, we tied perfectly but because of my army of camels I won. Not bad for a first timer.

    One questions when I take the bonus token from selling 3 or more goods together, do I flip immediately the token and show it to my opponent so as we know all the time our score or we just count it at the end? My general question is if we know also the score each one have as we play

    • @casualrob
      @casualrob  10 месяцев назад +1

      The tokens are kept secret until the end of the round, but they have a pretty small range of possible scores. You have a pretty good idea of who is winning, but it's not guaranteed.

    The exchanging more than 1 card rule gets over looked a lot in the rule book.

    Hi, if I am exchanging 2 cards that I have in my hand (leather and gold) for leather and silver in the market, can I exchange them? E.g. Gold (in my hand) for leather and leather (in my hand) for silver?

    1:36 (lets say thats the board).. when exhchaning can you take (1/3camels on the board) + another card?? (then swap them out in your had with something else)

    • @casualrob
      @casualrob  11 месяцев назад +1

      If you choose to “take cards” on your turn, you can choose to take camels. If you do, you take all of them and put them into your “herd”. That would be your only move that turn. The move you described isn’t allowed.

    Say you have no more trading cards in your hand but you have camels do you refill your hand with 5 cards or use your camels? Second question, say you trade everything and you have nothing left in your hand what do you do?

    • @casualrob
      @casualrob  2 года назад +2

      Hi Yuliana,
      If you have no more cards in your hand, you could exchange your camels for cards (for example, 3 camels for 3 goods cards). And if you end up running out of cards entirely, you could either spend your turn taking 1 good from the market, or taking all of the camels from the market. You could then exchange your camels on your next turn.
      Hopefully that helps!

    Good video! I’ve watched a few tutorials on this game - and why does no body talk about what you do after you sell cards? Do you take from the deck? What if your hand is empty? Do I take one from the market once it is refilled?

    • @ernaldo1848
      @ernaldo1848 4 месяца назад

      Everything is explained in the video. After you sell cards, it's your opponent's turn. When he's done, it's your turn again: now you can sell even more cards, or instead take them from the shop.

    I have a question if my wife take 3 herbs from the market and replace it with 3 Carmel is that fine?

    • @casualrob
      @casualrob  3 года назад +1

      Yes, that would be a legal move. When you exchange cards, you can take as many goods from the market as you want, but you must replace them with the same number of cards you already own (can be a combination of goods cards from your hand or camels).

    You state that you're not required to let your opponent know how many camels you possess, yet they are laid out in front of you making it pretty clear - not sure I understand this rule, unless you're allowed to hide some in your hand?

    • @casualrob
      @casualrob  Год назад +1

      That’s a good question, I had to double check to make sure I had it right. So the camels are placed in a separate pile in front you called your “herd”, so you can’t hide them in your hand with your other goods AND camels don’t count towards your 7 card hand limit. So within your herd, it’s up to you whether you want to fan them out or leave them in a single pile so your opponent can’t quite tell how many you have. Hopefully that helps!

    i'm sure this makes a lot of sense to someone who's already played the game, but i had to click off halfway through because you were speaking gibberish. You tell us to do all these things with the chips and the cards but we don't yet have any frame of reference for what any of these things are or what they do. "You can take all the camels and put them in your herd" OK???? What does that mean my guy?

    Just bought this for my dad and I to play with for fun. Can you take 1 card if you have 7 and then discard one to the market? Or just can't do that option? Thanks.

    • @casualrob
      @casualrob  Год назад +1

      You can never exchange just one card, so if you already have 7 cards in your hand, you'd either have to do the exchange action to exchange 2 or more, OR just sell cards for your turn. Hope you and your dad have fun with it!
