Mercedes have absolutely mastered the interiors on their cars! The furniture, lights and screens are just fuego! Those quick shifts reminded me of the PDK Porsche GT3 gearbox. Seems like a great car, although I think the RS3 has got more character. Great review bro, looking forward to more👌
They look nice, but they’re plasticky and cheaply made. You won’t find that in an Audi

Engine over design and interior any day for me. A 4cyl cannot compete with a 5cyl sound wise.
If Gucci interiors are your thing.. yeah take form over function 👍
New rs3 interior is superior, integrated sat nav/screen. Its a thing of absolute beauty. Rs3 all day long in my humble opinion.

The car looks great but sounds like a leafblower in comparison to the RS3
FL RS3 driver here, you are never going to get that addictive deep burble/epic exhaust note from a 4 pot although no doubt that interior looks a generation ahead of the RS3 but Audis have never been known for bling extravagant interiors.
@@ad_2211 I wouldn’t call this interior extravagant. For me it just trying to scream “look I am expensive” while having cheap quality materials all over the places. It looks showy, trying to draw attention.
Audi/Porsche interiors are more minimalistic and have better quality, I personally like that more
RS3 sounds like a fart can and gets worse each year. Fan boys have to let go. 🤣 Golf R32 sounds better than both. Am I gonna hold onto that forever? 😂
You drive RS3: understeer. You drive new A45s: pleasure and involvement! Huge difference!

Honestly I think its a great car. But is so expensive for what it is. Like a used rs3 for like 20k less is a no brainer or m140i for 30k less IMO
A new RS3 is gonna cost you same money though, I think they are all stupidly expensive for hatchbacks

@@mattdaines8054 agreed I love the sound of my rs3, the main reason I bought it, with the way a lot of modern sports cars sound or lack of sound you are better off getting electric and it will be even faster if sound isn’t a concern. I am a merc fan too, a car I really want is a 6.2l v8 c63 👌❤️
Rs3 is amazing and makes a lot of power with little mods. Where as the a45s doesn’t you need a lot to make it faster

Nah Mercedes has to much fancy looking stuff on the interior, keep it simple. Also the Mercedes virtual cockpit does not look good.

No denying the performance and interior is spot on - the rear of the car loses me, and the vacuum cleaner engine is a shame.
I will take a 5 pot RS3 every day

I bought my rs3 purely for the sound and exterior. But I have to admit, no one can beat Mercedes when it comes to interior. The one merc I want is the 6.2l c63, now that’s a nice sounding car

If Mercedes comes out with a 5 cylinder it will be a game changer. 4 cylinder , 420hp, 500Nm and the new C63S is 475hp with the same M139 engine. Add an additional cylinder and I am sure it would be a different league.
As nice as that interior is, the 5 pot sounds will always win...everytime 👌

Cool car for sure owned an rs3 and an a45 I would have to say rs3 all day long something special about a 5 cylinder engine especially Audis.

Sound they fix gear is most best they do real fast that Rs 3 I no fun Mercedes but I like audi but the fix a45 is good car show us compare rs3 vs a45 test speed lest find with one is faster
The A45s is nice, the interior is amazing. But a 5 pot is a 5 pot. If you have ever experienced an RS3, its just a different experience. And I am a BMW fanboy.
Seems like all the bmw m cars go into a rage when they see my ttrs. Driving like maniacs 2x speed limit on busy traffic streets weaving in and out of traffic.
They look awesome, but for that money...an RS3 sounds way, way more special.
If you want a fast 4 banger, just buy an S3 or Golf R and modify it to stage 2, which will out perform a stock A45 all day for half the money.
Or stage 2 an a45

Vids are great! But it would be a LOT better with a longer lens. This is so wide angle it’s kind of hard to even judge what the car looks like - bit like watching it all through a fish eye lens 😬
A45s all day. Maybe the engine isn’t as good as the RS 5 pot but IMO everything else is superior

I really like the AMG versions of the A-Class, especially the A35 sedan. I don't know if the AMG A35 sedan exists in the UK, but i've always liked sporty compact cars, so naturally I liked it. I think if I got an A-Class, i'd probably get the A35, the A45 S is a bit overkill for me, haha. Nice car though!

Tha A45’s are pushed to their limit to get that hp from factory. While the RS3 is conservative from factory, and just a stage 2 puts you in supercar territory!!!! R33 is king and a future legend!!! Case closed.

We got facelift rs3. Before particulate filter stuff. I genuinely believe e we got one of best soundin rs3. Apart from pre face they say sounds even more epic. New rs3 gonna have 430 ish engine hp. Roughly 380 wheel. Not bad. I'm audicentric any way. I do like the 45 amg pushing 421 . Doesn't sound anywhere near as good as rs3. But dont get me wrong. An awsome hatch

This is the only other hatch I'd trade up my M140i for.
I love the exterior styling, the performance and handling is incredible, I just don't like the chinzy interior much. Those chrome air vents are really not my thing.

I've always loved RS3's but for my money a45 AMG all day. Much nicer to sit inside. Don't forget that the tech in the a class is from an s class ... Hands down

Pity about the horrid silver buttons on the steering wheel, looks like spray-painted plastic and not a fan of the huge screen that replaces everything. Though that's probably just me and tbh haven't driven one. Also doesn't sound great exhaust wise :S

Yes the dash board for the price not very nice the Speedo looks like it’s been stuck on by glue and the way he done the lunch it bung down a bit where the rs3 on lunch go straight off the line I would Prefer the rs3 anyday

What is that horrible 'tappet knock' type rattle from the engine? It sounds awful. Reason I ask is that I have had something similar just once on my S3 after stopping the engine after a fast run, and then restarting a couple of minutes later.
Interior looks more like the 2019 spec S3/RS3 which is far better than the 2021 model.
Looks as if the Merc is morphing into an Audi stylewise.

Not crazy about the looks of this (love the rest of the line-up) but I love everything else about it. Now... that rear wiper was driving me nuts :)) - I had quite a few Audis before and only one Merc' (E55) and I would pick a Merc' again in a heartbeat (No disrespect to the lovely VAG family). The day will come! :) [many videos on my channel]
It’s a very good car BUT it’s not a 5 pot. The sound is nowhere near as good as the Audi RS3, it sounds like any 4 cylinder 2 litre turbo car like the Golf R or Audi S3 and so for me I’ll stick with my RS3 👍

I would like one of these for a daily or even an a35s but we don't get them here in the states. And even if they're way too expensive for what they are. The cla45 or a45s should be 50k fully loaded. These companies need to start offering warranties like kia/hyundai/genisis are
