@Flowmotion1000 Thats insane. 20 million russians died so you could live in a free world. Covering this song is the least any one can do to remember those poor sobs sacrifice.
In one, forgotten now, song singing: "it will not give us deliverance: Neither God nor king nor hero". Revolutionary situation gives birth to revolutionary heroes.
@Flowmotion1000 I don't see what a Wikipedia article on the amount of people that died under Stalin has to do with your claim that Stalin wanted to be friends with Hitler as they carved up Europe or the whole world between each other. You don't need to admire Stalin to realize that he was opposed to fascism and felt that by having the pact he was buying the USSR time to arm itself against a Nazi invasion that would eventually come.
No one butchering people by the millions can plausibly claim to be against fascism. It's like insisting you're different from Hitler because the latter wore yellow socks.
@Flowmotion1000 Really? You could check out books like 'Stalin's Wars' by Geoffrey Roberts, for one. I haven't seen a memoir from any Soviet figure (even ones fairly hostile to Stalin, like Khrushchev) that says such things. The British and French had no interest in an agreement with the Soviets over containing Nazi Germany and the Soviets felt that they were therefore pushing Germany eastwards. Check out 'The Soviet Union and the struggle for collective security in Europe, 1933-39' as well.
This is like "Springtime for Hitler" minus the irony. In that spirit I am currently working on: "The Black Plague Had It's Upside, y'Know!" and "The Pol Pot Nobody Knew."

@@s.2325 Do you know what YOU are talking about? Of course every damn poll would show support for it, when the polls were done BY THE COMINTERN! @scatsmfc1 'the here and now has not got hindsight' - bravo, you just said something totally obvious. Postmodern up-arse arguments aside, do you have any real points to make or knowledge of the subject, or did you just wander by in the vain hope of looking clever? Anyway, not all history is written under hindsight; only *opinions* of history. Facts are checkable, like the number of deaths; whether or not someone signed a pact; sometimes even a reason why (if diaries or memoirs are found).
Lyrics:
Stalin wasn't stallin'
When he told the beast of Berlin
That they'd never rest contented
Till they had driven him from the land
So he called the yanks and English
And proceeded to extinguish
The fuhrer and its vermin
This is how it all began
Now the devil, he was readin'
In the good book one day
How that lord created Adam
To walk the righteous way
And it made the devil jealous
He turned green onto his horns
And he swore by things unholy
And he made one of his own
So he packed two suitcases
Full of greed and misery
And he caught the midnight special
Going down to Germany
Then he mixed his lies and hatred
With fire and grim stones
Then the devil sat upon it
That's how Adolf was born
Now Adolf got the notion
That he was the master race
And he swore he'd bring new order
And put mankind in its place
So he set his scheme in motion
And was winnin' everywhere
Until he up and got the notion
For to kick that Russian bear
Stalin wasn't stallin'
When he told the beast of Berlin
That they'd never rest contented
Till they had driven him from the land
So he called the yanks and English
And proceeded to extinguish
The fuhrer and its vermin
This is how it all began
Yes, he kicked that noble Russian
But it wasn't very long
Before Adolf got suspicious
That he had done somethin' wrong
Cause that bear grabbed the fuhrer
And gave him an awful fight
Seventeen months he grabbed the fuhrer
Tooth and claws, day and night
Then that bear smacked the fuhrer
With a mighty armored core
And Adolf broke all records
Runnin' backwards to Krakow
Then Goebbels sent a message
To the people everywhere
That if they couldn't hit the fuhrer
God, then hit that Russian bear
Stalin wasn't stallin'
When he told the beast of Berlin
That they'd never rest contented
Till they had driven him from the land
So he called the yanks and English
And proceeded to extinguish
The fuhrer and its vermin
This is how it all began
Then this bear called on his buddy
The noble fighting yank
And they sent the fuhrer runnin'
With their ships and planes and tanks
Now the fuhrer's havin' nightmares
Cause the fuhrer knows damn well
That the devil's done roast welcome
On his residence in hell
Stalin wasn't stallin'
When he told the beast of Berlin
That they'd never rest contented
Till they had driven him from the land
So he called the yanks and English
And proceeded to extinguish
The fuhrer and its vermin
This is how it all began
