I know Greeks add ground clove and cinnamon in their mix ingredients whereas others uses cardamoms instead, also some uses only walnuts and some parts uses mixture of pistachios, almonds and walnuts.

U can use any kind of syrup u want but personally u prefer honey like the original recipe and about the phyllow u can find it in the supermarket , u should try Algerian baklawa it's so delicious 👍😉 and without using phyllow only using a homemade pastry

Rose water is the syrup found in any middle eastern or indian grocery .its used in flavouring dishes or dessert ..used both for cosmetic and food flavouring thing.
Real baklava does not contain cinammon and not contain walnut and pistachio are not found in the same Baklava. The Best Baklava is the homemade Turkish Baklava also the baklava dough include 1-2 tablespoon yoghurt. You can take a video of the recipe for this kind of Baklava

The Cooking Foodie u know what I cooked for 180 *C for 40 45 mins the top layer became very crispy and seperated I think thers something with the sheets which sheet did u use
Why is the Phyllo dough looking so soggy on the interior sheets of this Baklava? That makes it look,like "snot", seriously. The outside looks great. But the inside looks like it's not baked at all. Oh...I see why. Way too much butter on EVERY sheet of Phyllo. I use 3-4 sheets on the bottom & in between every layer....no butter except for bottom & top. Baked up correctly & consistently throughout. I'm sorry....but that much butter is preventing the Phyllo from becoming the flaky layers it should be and too soggy. Snotty looking Baklava is unappetizing.

hi, there are different types of it so the pouring time may differ, which baklava do you want to make?
The syrup has to be cool and the layers hot so the baklava does not turn out soggy!

We don't like additional spices. I can tell you this isn't a Turkish variety as it has cinnamon in the filling and honey in the syrup.
