I like the indicators; definitely going to be looking to get those. That's a good starting point for me since one of the indicators is broken and got water and dirt inside.

I've been looking at some breaker's websites in my area as well to salvage/scavenge some parts that I can transplant onto my car. Once I've had the car serviced, I'll look to get started. I've literally had it less than a week and I just want to get it checked over first. You should keep making videos, man. I don't think there are many other channels doing videos for older model Golfs so you could cater to that niche market! Are you in GLA or EDI (I ask that as if they're the only 2 cities in Scotland! Haha)
Thanks for the support. Awesome cars - since you just got the car worth checking the Diverter Valve if it feels low on power it is common for them to fail as well as the PCV. Also do some research into the cam follower worth changing as preventative maintainence. I'm based in GLA 🙂
@@HimiJ Mine is the TDI, not the GTI so not sure if all those things you mentioned will apply to my car. But I'm definitely putting it in for a full service and asking them to check everything. I'm also having the cam belt/timing belt changed as a preventative measure because I can't confirm if it was ever done. Just need to find a reliable trustworthy garage to do the work. Ah yeah, I thought you might be GLA. I'm in EDI, but was actually thinking of bringing the car to a garage I've used before when I lived in GLA. The guys were 100% honest and really good. If I can't find an alternative, I'll be coming through to GLA to leave the car with them.

Nope I didn't unplug the battery (best just make sure the ignition and lights are off). I used a 1/4 inch ratchet with a 10 mil socket. Hope that helps!

Never found it a problem. You can also adjust the brightness in the settings.
