This is the only shampoo and conditioner I use from Oribe. The conditioner is so lightweight yet very intense. I like how slippery the consistency is - it makes for a great detangler. Everytime I use them, my hair feels very airy and lightweight, yet intensely nourished and hydrated.
At the time I filmed this hair Alchemy wasn’t out yet, that line is a preventative so it works on creating strength and support around each hair strand to make it stronger for future styling and chemical services. The gold lust line is for repair after damage or compromising hair integrity has already been done. If you feel your hair is damaged sometimes alternating both of these lines is helpful. The gold lust line is the heaviest formula too so if you have fine hair that may be why your stylist recommended the alchemy line instead. Hope this helps. 😄
@@RunningwithMakeup Wow a reply! Thank you!! That's a GREAT idea, like, why not both? On my BORDERLANDS critique it's obvious my hair looks like it was detonated with dynamite! I think I'll start with the Alchemy and then move on to the Gold Lust. Thanks again!

I have a question. I am a men and this is the first time that would try a oribe shampoo and conditioner. I use sometimes the hair straightener after hair pulling for have straight hair medium long ( my real nature is curly hair but not more after sometimes hair pulling). Now i have straight hair medium long and i would have long hair until the shoulders.... which oribe shampoo and conditioner is better fpr me? Signature line or gold and lust cause hair straightener and hair pulling? Thanks so much
Nice review!! I'm debating on trying Oribe Gold Lust. I currently use the olaplaex line and I love but looking for a change. I only wash 1 or 2 times a WK so I know I can make products last! PS LOVE your lipstick! What color/brand is it?
I would definitely recommend trying out the Oribe Gold lust! A little goes a long way and I think it's amazing! thank you! I can't remember what shade this is but I believe it's a liquid lip by Jeffree Star.
Hey how would you compare this line to the moisture and control line, specifically the shampoo and conditioner? How does one decide which line is better because the descriptions on the website don't give as much insight as a professional hairdresser
patfan I would say the gold lust vs moisture and control is the gold lust I would say is the top tear as far as repair and nourishing hair that is more damaged where is moisture control is going to be a better fit for someone whose hair doesn’t necessarily need repair but needs hydration because their hair is textured, curly or just tends to be on the dry side. Think gold lust for damage repair (more blondes or people who do a lot of color changes) and moisture control for those who have hair types that need extra moisture for smoothing or hydrating curls. I hope this helps! Thank you for your question! 💖
Maybe you can help me, they used to have this pre-shampoo item from the gold Line that had a little beads and smelled amazing… I can't find it anywhere… Is it the same just re-packaged? Let me know if you know what I'm talking about
Ok...best guess is blush- milani baked blush bellissimo bronze or luminoso, bronzer- physicians formula butter bronzer, lip- Jeffree star allegedly or Gemini. 😊
Hi,. Thank you for this video. As I person who likes to make informed decisions when shopping for beauty & haircare, I just want to know if you can disclose whether or not this is a sponsored.video. And if your link to Oribe"s site is an affiliate link. Thank you
Great review...thank you! What products would you reccommend for thick , wavy, and Dark Brown hair...? ( I also color treat my hair at home), thank you! I currently use NEUMA products, and used to use ORIBE hair spray...and just want a different type of product.
Oribe's intense moisture line is amazing for thick wavy hair! They have so many different options in that range too for styling in addition to shampoo and conditioner like creams and gels that are soft to touch but help manage thick wavy hair!
I just got a balayage done i appreciate this review i plan on buying some of their products but I’m still iffy ok what purple shampoo i should use for an ash brown balayage
thank you for the informative video!! i was wondering if the oribe gold list shampoo + conditioner make your blonde a bit brassy? or does it allow your current blonde color to stay the way it is?
Thanks for the question! It won’t cause you left hair to be brassy but depending on your water and minerals in your water, that is what causes blonde to go brassy. Oribe has a purple serum I use when I shampoo and blow dry that helps cut brass really well!
I love their volume line. I never tried this. I need moisture does this weigh down? I want volume but some moisture. I try alot of hydrating but it weighs down my hair alot!!
I would say if volume is your priority I would skip this shampoo and conditioner and stick with the volume ones but you could definitely use the gold lust transformative mask once a week or biweekly to hydrate and repair!
Do you find using this long-term leads to brittle hair? I've used Kevin Murphy etc before and after a time the products covered the hair shaft and lead to increased breakage eventually.
No not at all!! I’ve used the gold lust line for a really long time and have had no issues. It will not cause build up and there is no protein in it so there is no risk for too much protein build up either. Usually I find when something is causing breakage it’s from medication, over processing hair with color or lightener, or from shampoo with keratin or protein.
So if the hair has just been bleached platinum, and has now become dry and somewhat damaged, would you use the Gold Lust for every 2 washes and then the Bright Blonde line every third wash? Or is the Bright Blonde line an every time shampoo and conditioner?
I would prioritize health of the hair so using gold lust will give you most repair/treatment so use that more often and then bright blonde when you feel you are getting dull as a blonde. Hope this helps!
@@RunningwithMakeup OK, think I understand. Stylist did a great job, but he didn't say how to maintain. Just use an unspecified purple shampoo, dilute it with one part water two parts shampoo. It seems Oribe is much softer, so I guess not need to dilute the Bright Blonde? She has 100% Chinese hair, so very black. Went dry and more brittle after a previous botched bleach and color job. Got treatments for months to restore it. I'd say hers is about as long as yours, down past shoulders? If matters, her hair was bleached down to the scalp. For the first time in her life, she got a few knots in her hair couple days after, and didn't know what they were... So I'll order Gold Lust for my beautiful girlfriend, and should advise to use for a while, see if any brass comes, then use the Bright Blonde for a bit before switching back? Thank you so much for your help ❤️
@@andydrew3320 right!! They developed the products originally for runway and wanted the brand to have a luxurious sex appeal. No fake floral or overwhelming scents here! They even carry a candle and incense with their fragrance Cote d’Azure if you’re into that kind of stuff.
You can find more information on their website… Oribe Signature Complex (Watermelon, Lychee and Edelweiss Flower) defends hair from oxidative stress, photoaging and the deterioration of natural keratin, all while protecting from the drying, damaging and color-depleting effects of the elements. Bio-Restorative Complex, including Plant Collagen, Caffeine, Biotin and Niacinamide, repairs damage by penetrating the root to fortify, deeply nourish and strengthen the cuticle from the inside out while also energizing the scalp and rejuvenating hair follicles. Mediterranean Cypress Extract, known in ancient times as a symbol of immortality, deeply moisturizes for long-lasting repair and youth restoration. Amino Acid Complex, developed to closely resemble the proteins in the hair cortex, provides moisture to hair and scalp, strengthens and repairs damage on the cuticle. my personal favorite is the royal blowout. It's amazing and makes your hair super smooth and shiny! Royal blowout you would use on damp hair before you blow-dry where soft lacquer is meant for dry hair right before heat styling so depending on how you want to use, if you want to use daily if you don't shampoo daily I'd say the soft lacquer would be great for day to day use since its meant for dry hair. hope this helps!

Hmm interesting. I’m not sure.
