Kinda late to the party here. Face to Face is by far my favorite band, and Rise Against wouldn't have existed without their influence (among the rest of the 90's socal scene). But I have to admit, I am dissatisfied by this cover. It definitely doesn't hold up to f2f's standards. Still a dope release, but far from their best. Rise Against's cover of blind was better. "When I heard face to face, I found punk music that was edgy and aggressive but also uplifting and laced with hope. It felt more like a sunrise than a sunset. I'm an absolutely huge RA fanboy and this is one of my favorite songs by them, I've never heard of face to face but they did a freakin excellent job covering this song.
It's a long-standing tradition in punk rock going back to the 80s. Search for punk rock splits and you'll find a treasure trove of wonderful gems just like this
To those who say this cover is inferior to the original, just listen to the way the drums mount and the tempo quickens starting at around 2:33, and try to tell me the two versions aren't equal.

It's a cover bro...... They perform their own rendition of the original song. The guitarist and the vocalist are not out of tune nor are they playing/singing in the wrong way. They are playing the way they intended the song to be played. Just like everybody else, you are entitled to your opinion and i'm not asking you to take it back, I just wanted to clear up any possible confusion.

it's a cover collaboration they made together with rise against. in my opinion, a cover SHOULDN'T sound exactly the same as the original. that's what makes a good cover. i agree that the song of rise against is better, but this version is also awesome. you shouldn't just insult it because it IS quite good and as i said, it was made with RAs agreement

This is the difference with others genreswhere everything happens for the money, here exist still passion. Dont fight like a rockstar...

You know, this isn't too bad. It's really good. The bass is fine, the Guitar is good, the drummer has the beat perfect, and the singer isn't half bad.
