Hello Glowbies, I want to clarify something that was said in this video. Becky did tell me that she has learned to live on $300 per month and I hopee to do an interview with her sharing how she does this. She does receive more than $300 per.month SS. I am not going to share the exact amount without her permission. She simply has learned how to budget in the desert on BLM land so she can live on just $300. Hipefully this clears up any misunderstanding some seem to have.
Driving license, car registration and auto insurance all require a physical address. How do people get around this problem as I need to know, I'm looking to do the same. I'm 71 on SSI paying $100 a month to sleep on a couch in a horrible home, it's like sleeping inside grand central station.
I have a roof over my head but it's goes by my income thank God for that I live on about the same amount for spending I don't know how she does that with needing gas I got to get tips from her
Watch Pepper princess, I think she lives like on $10 a week or something like that on food but she has a lot of fruit trees, she’s a little bit too extreme for me, but some people need her hints.
Brava to Becky and her awesome setup !❤. Freedom, peace, low cost, no mortgage/rent to deal with. I retired in '23 and did Quartzite for a year (returning soon). Have all I need in my older roomy hi-top for me and my cat, and lived on about the same money (just a modest portion of my ss/savings) as Becky. It's doable, folks🙂.
If you are willing I would love to chat with you and possibly do an interview. If you are interested you can reach me at Gloriouslifeonwheels@gmail.com
@@trishaporte There is, but it was a fairly easy transition from 'stick 'n' brick' for me since I've always been something of minimalist, resourceful, and frugal by nature. When I camp on BLM land, no rent all I need is food, water and gas if going places. I get nearly $2000/mo. and am able to save $500/mo. While living in my condo. It all has to do with priorities. I don’t eat out, or get my nails done or hair done. Not necessities. I shop at Thrift stores for clothes. I came from a family that didn’t waste money and were very money cautious as we dudnt have a lot. I never felt deprived. Way to go Becky and the others. Great way to live. I commend you. I’m 76 so from her generation. Hope to see her and others in January.❤
Hello Carol, well just as I thought Becky Rocks! Three hundred buck$ a month is amazing. And she has a French Press! She sees to know what she's doing. I like how she addresses you with "yes mam". True manners. A new nomad can learn from her. I have to rate this video AWESOME!!!
What a sweetie Becky is? My gosh if I had these tips long ago I would have had something amazing and to give to my son eventually, maybe someday. Such a blessing she is ❤✝️🙏 I mean doing something like this when I was young is what I meant, it is different when you're getting older and it can be scary, not easy😢💔
I am going to get one of those butane heaters! Looks like a good idea for use in the winter when the power goes out. Enjoyed the interview with this lovely lady!
I'm 65 and a van-dweller. Don't feel sorry for me. You might want to consider a different emotion... like envy. 😉 I imagine you're trapped in a city, stuck in a huge and expensive sticks-n-bricks or in an apartment surrounded by nasty humans/noise/smog, etc., etc., etc.
I have a 94 Chevy H20. I’m planning to do the same kind of bed setup but need to get help with taking out the seats. The small trailer is a great idea! Cool video!
@allegrosotto2126 I get it. It's hard to find something. Maybe it depends on the area of the country? I was thinking about senior low income places but there can be definite down sides to that. I don't have the answers. It really shouldn't be this hard. Too bad this country is in this shape. I may wind up in a van too but I sure don't want to.
Definitely cover in detail her expenses that keep expenses at $300/month & if she is willing also her full monthly income. It would also help to know if she is experiencing increases in her vehicle insurance & what her monthly & annual insurance & vehicle expenses are. Thanks !!!
Good points. I don't.know if she wants to disclose her complete SS income, although I can say it is far from the max, but she is willing to discuss uer spending.
It’s such a shame senior citizens have to live like this. What’s going to happen next year when the price to camp on BLM land near Quartsite AZ goes up? I feel so bad for these seniors. 😞

She seems to be in good shape for her age. Unfortunately Father Time catches up with the elderly. I wonder if 300.00 is all she has a month or is that all she’s willing to spend in a month? I’m confused 🤷♀️
Becky shared that when she was in the rv park her lot rent, etc left her basically penniless. Further, so many mobile home ajd rv parks have been bought up by large corporations that double and triple the rents forcing seniors and other low income folk out often having to leave their mobile homes behind! According to Becky she is much happier living like this.
Of all the times I can think of having a nervous breakdown at my office job while I could still work….. phew😮 I get just enough now on SSDI disability because I held on as long as I could, even after my injuries until I finally filed for social security disability at 31. I’m scared what retirement means for me though. I think it’s just the same amount or more though, which is good. ❤
In her first interview she said it was her choice. Her kids set her up in a trailer but the walls were closing in on her. She was a truck driver, when her trailer caught fire instead of buying another she went traveling and being free.
I could handle this I think but not without running water and a place to dispose the toilet stuff legally. If you go to town how do you keep people from stealing your setup. Hot running water on Old achy bones.
They have pit toilets at that location. As far as safeguarding your things she camps with two other men next to her. That is thr best way to do it if you have things outside so therr are others nearby keeping an eye out. Therr are ways to have a hot shower. I am going to air an interview Saturday with a shower set up.
Honestly the achy bones aren’t as bad out here. I loaded up my ooold RV with Epsom salts to soak my body! I KNEW I’d need it! Haven’t had one soak since I went on the road! Ibuprofen yes! 😊
Therr are a lot of men too. But women often go out of the work place to raise children or take care of aging parents. As such they often have no pensions and low social security income.

Therr are a lot of men too. But women often go out of the work place to raise children or take care of aging parents. As such they often have no pensions and low social security income.
No old person should have to live this way that’s disgraceful and wrong
My exact thoughts also. Sad.
Heck, she might be sitting on a bankroll somewhere. Remember the Beverly Hillbilly’s?
In the first part of this interview she addresses how she became a nomad and spoiler alert...it was by choice. Her family supports her decision.
This is Becky's choice. Yes, she does have limited funds. But living in four walls with no money left over for anything would make her miserable
Only in America our people should not be living this way. There should be some better resources for our elderly. They should be treated better first.
You need to see part One of this interview. It is by choice and she does have a loving family who support her dream of living life as she does.
