Liberty Industrial plays a crucial role in the industrial circular economy

At Liberty Industrial we play a crucial role in the industrial circular economy, driving better outcomes for our client’s and the environment by maximising recycling and reducing waste across our closure portfolio. In the year to date we have recycled some 85,000t of ferrous scrap, providing a significant financial return for our clients and more importantly converting this material from a waste into a commodity.
The recycling of ferrous scrap provides tangible evidence of sustainability across the value chain by not only diverting this material from landfill, but by removing the need for some 54,000t of coal, and 96,000t of iron ore otherwise required in the steel making process.
