Hey Jeff! This is super awesome. Here's a shortcut. Instead of downloading and again uploading the icon from flaticons, I always right click the icon image & copy image address (basically link to the image) and then paste it on the Link option of the icon change dialog in Notion. That means, no clutter on my local machine. Obviously, I'll be online while using Notion & it always works cool..!
@@JeffSu Haha! It's all yours. And, lemme see if you credit me for it 😜 I really liked your way of presentation, Jeff. Makes the video more interesting.

@@JeffSu btw, it's ww Saq’ Be’. I misspelled it (pronounced sock bay) is a Mayan term referring to the white/sacred road, the Milky Way and the spiritual path of one’s life. So my handle in part means "World wide web" as a nod to technology; see, I'm more tech savvy than I get credit for 😉
Since you asked us in the video, I can tell you a shortcut. You can automatically apply previously used font formatting onto other text by highlighting which specific text you need formatted, then using CMD + Shift + H. This is faster than your /colouryellow method.
@@JeffSu Yes. So if you said "bold" last time, it will only bold. If you said "yellow highlight", it will only yellow highlight. If you said red text last time, it will only do red text this time. I don't think it can do a combination of two things (bold+highlight), if that's what you're getting at.

I made a synced block withlinks to my main used pages just so I can get rid of the sidebar. That way all my page is content, and if I need to switch pages, is easier. Also, If I'm actually working on a specific proyect at the moment, but is embedded in a client folder, is so much easier to get to it. Once I finish it, I edit the block, erase the link, and that's it. And for the main pages I use icons, or tiny images (100 px square) instead of text. Just for aesthetics, because it looks way better.
just curious, in time saver #2 for template buttons, what is currently present in your "Week 1" page under Templates? And how is the "next week" page on the template page synced to your actual next week? Is there a filter or property to make it sync with a real life calendar so that you're not just clicking on some arbitrary "next week"? Or was it only there simply for the demonstration to show that you no longer use that method because you now use the synced block method in your archive folder? Sorry for the lengthy question haha
@@JeffSu thanks!! so like at 1:40 where I see "Week 1" under your templates column, is it moreso just acting like a placeholder just to show it is currently week 1 this week, and then next week you would have Week 2 in its place? Or was it actually a different template from the "Agenda Page Template" ? It would make sense i guess to help show how far along we are in a semester. I ask bc you have "Week 1" and then under your archives, you actually have the weeks named "20210712", what is the difference between that and "Week 1" I guess is what I am tryna ask lol // I'm guessing the "Week 1" is just a blank page only serving as a placeholder for aesthetics

A faster way of hyperlinking/referencing a block or any links to a word is just by copying the link > highlight the word you wanna use then paste. It'll create the hyperlink then and there.
5:04 Para poder particiones dentro de un toggle, lo que quieras partir metelo en un toggle, pero como una página. Una vez que la página este dentro del toggle turn a text y listo tienes particiones dentro de un toggle. Puedes hacer muchas particiones metiendo cosas dentro de un page y luego convertirlo a texto To be able to partition within a toggle, put whatever you want to partition into a toggle, but as a page. Once the page is inside the toggle turn to text and voila you have partitions inside a toggle. You can do a lot of partitioning by putting things inside a page and then converting it to text
In the keyboard shortcuts, you just exemplefy the MARKDOWN types but the code has many more functions in Notion. And you can export it for an blog for ex. and not worry with missing the headers used
Love this video, Jeff. Thank you! Uhm.. a bit off-topic, I'm currently working as a Marketing Specialist but wanted to change my career to Key Account Management, I was wondering if you could create a video for A.M. strategies? or things to know about it? Looking forward!
Hi Jeff! Thanks for all the great tips! I was trying to implement the page you convert into text inside another page, but it isn't working. Is there a specific way to do it? I created a new page called Mission Statement, and I only added the title and the content, which is a statement, and tried to call it in my terms and policies, but it didn't work. There are many places I could implement this useful feature, but I may be doing something wrong. I'll appreciate the advice.

I just use CMD+F at that point haha
Do you use notion to replace your todo/project manger (omnifocus/ Things3 /todoist) I currently use omnifocus with GTD and was wondering if Notion could be better
Nah, I use Todoist and Notion together (quick capture -> organize). Check out my Simple Productivity video 😁
@@JeffSu yes quick capture is what I was curious about in notion. Thanks Jeff. Definitely checking out that video
Could you please do a video on how you set up or categorize Notion dashboard in a productive way?
Hi Chloe! Yes I'll be making one of those videos soon :)
Thanks for the tips!
A faster way of hyperlinking/referencing a block or any links to a word is just by copying the link > highlight the word you wanna use then paste. It'll create the hyperlink then and there.
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing 😁

To be able to partition within a toggle, put whatever you want to partition into a toggle, but as a page.
Once the page is inside the toggle turn to text and voila you have partitions inside a toggle.
You can do a lot of partitioning by putting things inside a page and then converting it to text
Good point, thanks for sharing!
In the keyboard shortcuts, you just exemplefy the MARKDOWN types but the code has many more functions in Notion. And you can export it for an blog for ex. and not worry with missing the headers used
Thanks for the input Igor! When you say export do you mean 3 dots > Export > Markdown and CSV option?
yeah ! Notion is coming ! Thanks dude ! Cool video)))
You're welcome Sergey, glad you like it :)
@@JeffSu Notion saved us in this pandemic time. And this features really effectively. I'll use them in my work😉👍
Thanks for the awesome tips, Jeff! Now where’s your Notion sponsorship? 😂
Apparently that's for the Notion team to know and for me to find out 😅
Men, you can use command+option and number 1,2,3 ... to each format
I love to use the 7 for Toggle :)
So helpful! Thank you.
You're very welcome 😁
Hello, Jeff! I haven't tried Notion yet, but this has piqued my interest. Is it possible to do all of this with the free version of Notion?
Yes it is!! :)
Love this video, Jeff. Thank you! Uhm.. a bit off-topic, I'm currently working as a Marketing Specialist but wanted to change my career to Key Account Management, I was wondering if you could create a video for A.M. strategies? or things to know about it? Looking forward!
You're extremely welcome Tochi :)
great video jeff!
Thanks Matt 😁
Thanks
No, thank YOU Samer!!! Thanks so much for the support 🙌🏻
Hard to me to give feedback when I can't see your screen 😅. Have you tried doing it first using sample text and following my instructions?
Thank u so much needed it and expecting it
Glad this met your expectations!!
