Thanks so much for these videos. I'm taking a second shot at playing, haven't touched a guitar since highschool when I quit from frustration. It's awesome to be able to pick it up and slowly get walked through these and actually be enjoying it!

Everyone on youtube trying to give lessons should follow your example, great editing, tabs, camera shots (i'm amazed how rare it is for the vast majority of ppl trying to give lessons to get the actual guitar into the frame). P.S. I'm also curious what teepannu1234 is talking about? It sounds completely right to me and the tabs provided seem to be correct... Maybe he is mistaking this video for an actual performance instead of a tutorial. An excellent tutorial.

how do you palm mute the chords as fast as they do in the song?

Played wrong!
for starters, that high F5 powerchord is NOT played at the 13th fret. it's played a 8 on the A string. only the low f5, the g5, and the a5 are played on the e string. Every other powerchord is played on the a string.
intro after the palm muted f5 goes g5-c5, g5-c5, g5 a5. duh-DAH, duh-DAh, duh dah (mute to silence). yes, it's a quick change.
During the verses that g5 powerchord is played at 10th fret on a string. not where you played it. mute the middle note of that power chord on the firs two strums. then slide it down after the last strum clear to c5 so you can transition into the pal mute chorus riff the second time you do it.
and finally the bridge, keeping in mid the power chord rules i've given, is
for the bridge, you only strum the c5 ONCE before going into the raking.
repeat two more times, then, for "the more you suffer" you go
d, a#5, c5, two g5s and throw in an open e string as you change to the muted f5 bit from the intro.
