- This week we went mudlarking in a crazy storm! We return to Treasure beach with our friend William and find amazing things despite the weather, 1920`s jewels and gems. It was the day of the moon! We also craft a new friend for Wonky with our latest pair of found eyes. Come mudlarking with us and battle through the rain and wind to find riches in the sand! :)

I was thinking that the small figure could be a Buddha from one if the seven Japaneese Gods. He has a large elongated bald head and some are made from a material that looks similar.usually glazed is parts but not all over. Just a guess.😀
I just checked. He is Fukurokujo, God of happiness, riches and longevity.

Cyril the squirrel is my favourite.
I raised four baby squirrels whose mother died when their tree was cut down. That rescue was one of my favorite as a rehabber. Three boys and a small girl. For the first two weeks, I fed them every 20 minutes, night and day. They held the bottle like human babies! They are smart and very individual. I painted the female's toenail after the first few weeks because she was easy to identify, smaller than the boys until I got her caught up with extra feedings. The painted toes were what identified her after I released them. She came to visit once. The nails identified her as she climbed my jeans and sat on my shoulder chittering at me as if to say, "Hi, stopped by for lunch!!" I fed her leftover nuts and with full cheeks, she scrambled for the trees, off to make her own babies!

Aw, the magic of cat's purrs. Lost my beautiful ginger boy last year. Miss him everyday. One day I will get another, when the time is right. The squirrel is brilliant! Such character. Also love the green stopper. :)

The legendary Scrappy the squirrel. I like that he got a warm scarf and some nut and berry tea, some fresh air and sun shine and a clime in a tree. Scrappy looks happy as can be.

I am not surprised that you love your treasure beach! I think it is amazing too! I could just sit and hunt for tiny treasures all day there, but maybe not during a storm. Your little squirrel is adorable! In a town very near ours they have black squirrels that are so much fun to watch. The moon charm made me think of the old song 'Blue Moon'. Well pretty ladies stay safe and keep hunting! ❤

My son is into all things Japanese and he thinks that the small white and orange item at 43 minutes may be a "beigoma" or fighting top. Two players will flick their spinning tops oton a cloth stretched over a bucket or similar and the goal is to knock your opponent's top off the cloth. (He could, of course, be wrong!)

It seems to have been windy here a lot recently and as you say not the greatest to film in. You never know if the sound is going to be o.k or not haha :)

You called your creation a teddy…..to me he looks like a squirrel. A very cute squirrel! The little figure looks like a papoose baby, swaddled and two sided possibly. Well, to me that’s what it looks like kind of. The beads were beautiful! As always love your videos, love your enthusiasm and how close you two are, wish my daughter and I were that close. ❤️❤️❤️

I had a 2 tone orange tiger cat that I kept a drool cloth when came over for a pet. Sadly lost him this year to age and a respiratory problem was 13 I think, I named him Jolly Ollie Orange after a Kool Aid pitcher add character of some years back.

What a gorgeous beach. So much fun, even in the wind. My daughter and I have only been mudlarking a couple of times, mostly because we don't really have anywhere around that isn't on private land. But we are searching! I love the squirrel! I think you should call him Elmer. We look forward to next week!

Good old British weather, rains on our picnics, freezes us to bits in winter, yet we are always out there throwing snowballs or chomping our soggy sandwiches under the nearest shelter.
In spite of it all we make the best of it, a flask of hot tea a curse, a smile and of we go again. :)
