I have a 28 inch yildiz I’m absolutely in love with it the wood is really nice and it’s a good gun I would highly recommend it I bought for 459 dollars and it’s money well spent for what you get
I bought the gun David is demoing in this video, so I’ve been looking forward to it coming out! I’m new to the sport, so didn’t know what gun would work for me. I’d been looking at second hand Silver Pigeon 3 sporters or MK38s, and stopped in the shop to just pick some up and see how they fit. A quick chat with David and he pulled out everything they had in my price range. He very kindly gave me some pointers on gun mount in the shop, at which point Berettas were quickly removed from my list as they were far too low in the comb for me. We then took out a 525, MK38 and the Yildiz to shoot a couple of stands. Despite all being roughly the same weight the Miroku felt that little bit too heavy for me, so it was 525 vs Yildiz. In my limited experience I found them to be quite similar, but I did shoot a bit better with the Yildiz, so that certainly worked in its favour! Also I’m a woodworker so the piece of walnut on it didn’t hurt, especially in comparison with the quite plain stocks on the 525s. To be very critical I would have liked some interesting engraving like the 525s had (they were year old models and the engraving has been phased out for this year), but for a first gun I couldn’t ask for more! To sum up, I’m a very satisfied Oxford Gun Company customer (who wasn’t expecting to purchase a gun that day!) with a gun that will start me very much in the right direction in a sport I hope I’ll be doing for a long time!
I have the Yildiz Pro Black with adjustable comb. Grade 4 is around £2k, and you get a great pistol grip, palm swell and adjustable comb to lift the height - why spend £500 more? I’d rather spend that on adding a decent semi-auto to the cabinet. But, different strokes… 🤷🏻♂️
I find the barrel weights on the adjustable pro sport perfect in 32 inch i hope they aren’t making them heaver the standard sporter what weight are the barrels on this gun ?
I had a yildiz pro adjustable but got rid of it. Lovely to look at but the pistol grip was massive. Should have bought the standard one. Also had misfires on the second shot with all shell sizes so I just part ex’d it.
The Yildiz are great gun for the price but there not a browning ! Just not the same felling Great video still David 👍. Would be good to see more gun brands on you channel
I like your videos David but im becoming slightly bored of the yildiz vids, your obviously sponsored by them but please lets have a change…. My criticism is just constructive and I’m not trying to be objective in any way. Keep up the good work
Yildiz in the U.S. is sold exclusively through Academy Sports. They're all entry level guns, the most expensive one being around 650 USD. They look and feel cheap. Being it's a Turkish import, parts and accessories are few and far between. So, you either spend 500 on a cheap Yildiz, or 2,000 or more for a Browning Cynergy or Beretta Silver Pigeon, and prices just goes up from there, if you want an O/U here in the U.S. there's no middle ground.
I have the HPS 30 inch Sporting 12 gauge from Academy . $729, all steel with nice fit and good looking wood. So far it has been a really good all around clays gun. I realize it's not a Browning, but for the money, I have been pleased. I also have the 20 gauge all steel HPS and it is nice as well. The Yildiz Aluminum receiver over/unders from Academy do feel and look cheaper.
@@MR12GAUGE I own a Perazzi high tech s and although they look the same in a lot of ways, They are a million miles apart from each other ! Finish on the wood, metal finish and the finish within the action. But on the whole the yildiz pro black is a very nice gun and shoots great. Just love to see how the price would be in a few years (secondhand)
@@kurtricketts1618 i wouldn't say that equates to a million miles away, they are what 1/6th the price so yes not as many man hours on finishing as expected but how can anyone complain when you are getting a perazzi design for peanuts, oiling, metal polishing externally doesn't mean anything in terms of mechanics and geometry, internally the ones we have had in and stripped and compared to an mx12 down to individual hammers etc they are identical in tolerances and finish, we have several at our club with 40xxx plus, they are as good mechanically as the gun they are based
@@petyt8 well the mx12 doesn't have one and its what 10,000 pounds and it's considered one of the best comp guns around so its hardly missing anything especially at the price it is
Well to tell you truth, I couldn't bear to watch it again, it's not a review, it's a sales pitch so you could be right, this isn't the only review of this gun that I have either read or watched. One final note for yourself or David in fact....so you think the balance is good because you place your finger under the hinge pin! Well, when was the last time you took a shot at a clay with no shells in the breech?
You've never heard of Purdey, Holland & Holland, Boss, Churchill, William Evans? In Turkey they pay rubbish wages that's why their guns flood the market.
Have a look at the Caesar Guerini Summit?

This new MS do you have any more photos of the stock
I would like to check it out but I’m in the states are they sold in the US
Which is better over and u...or side by s.??
Just go and buy a Mirook / Browning (2nd hand) ...Job Done!!

CZ USA, Franchi, and Fausti all provide solid middle-ground options here in the USA. I'd recommend checking those three out!

they are charging $6000 here in the us.
Ya they say 2500 us but when you look them up there from 4500 to 6500
Are those available as LH?
