Thank you for this beautiful and inspiring song. Five years ago when I gave my life to Jesus, I made a commitment to surrender my whole heart to Him. That includes the pen of my love story. I was still a student at that time, had never been in a relationship and was very passionate to serve God because of His love and grace. I let go of all my romance novels, fancy daydreams, love songs, romantic poems and disciplined myself never to watch romantic TV shows and sensual movies. I stopped entertaining textmates and never entered the chatroom again. I obeyed God's word to keep guarding my heart, soaked myself in His presence and spent my quiet times reading His word and praying. I also surrounded myself with fellow believers and listened to their counsel. I should wait for true love, keep preparing myself and serve the Lord while waiting. I should live a life of faith, fruitfulness and intimacy with the Holy Spirit. I should grow more in my relationship with God. I should fufill God's calling for my life. I kept singing Jaci V's I Promise and John Waller's While I'm Waiting. BUT now that I'm 23, still so young though, I can already feel the craving to give in to the temptation of being with someone. I started listening again to those love songs making me long for someone's love. I'm starting to neglect the satisfaction Jesus could give me if I only spend quality time with Him. I spend more time on facebook, youtube and really starting to compromise. I'm no longer transparent to my Pastor and no longer want to lead the worship. Just now, I'm reminded to remember the height from which I have fallen. Jesus loves me so much and he wants to bless me. He did not even spare his very life and gave it all for me. Forgive me Lord.. I now decide to repent and be right with you again. Thank you for not answering my prayer when I stubbornly and desperately ask you for a man though I know I'm still not ready for marriage yet. I'm so sorry Lord. Help me endure the wait and trust in you once more. I love you because you first loved me. Everything will be beautiful in Your time. It's worth the wait. Amen. (JMG)

A couple months ago I met someone that turned my life upside down and my heart inside out. I walk about 7" off the ground everyday she held my hand. I never thought God would allow my heart to love again but He did. My timing wasn't His and I had to take a step back because I was running a little too hard and tooo fast towards something absolutely wonderful. I may never get it back...but God clearly said "wait" and I am. I cannot "overrun" God's headlights again but I have not let go.
