@@slideshowjoe425 This piece is more like stride than ragtime, but if you want to learn more about the feel of ragtime, I would look at and play through scott joplin’s “School of Ragtime”. He goes through the most common patterns found in ragtime music over a chord progression.
I really like how the very first note on a music composed with C scale in mind was D sharp, just shows the creativity simply but effectively

This is not ragtime. This is jazz.
Jazz is all about improvisation. There's nothing improvised here, so it's really much more like a ragtime than jazz 👍
