Just a thought but if you select the roads layer by CTRL clicking the layer icon you can then expand the selection 5 ot 10 pixels and then select the water layer and just delete.
Does that make sense. I think that would have made your job easier. Great video too. Thanks

cool video! i would skip the epoxy. you can see weird bubbles/waves along the edges. it also yellows in UV light. i'd use acrylic instead.

I am looking to get a laser engraver, have always thought these maps were very cool so started watching this video but never imagined it is New Smyrna Beach, this is where I live. This is too cool. Thank you. Would you be willing to sale that file?

Confused right out of the gate - how do you get to the screen on snazzy maps where you select and deselect the elements?

Is that ventilator blowing at the cutter or sucking air away from it? Do you find it suffcient or how do you cope with the smoke generated?

Great tutorial. Can this be done on a charcuterie board with a deep engrave rather than a total cut?
    Thanks.

I would think so but it would take a really long time.

What wattage is this particular laser? I was going to get the 20 watt D1 Pro this week, But saw the xtool just released their 40 watt...

This is a 20w. The 40w sounds great! Quicker for sure

Nice, I think glass would be cheaper, faster and look better than epoxy.

😂 Honestly, I though about putting it in there! It’s a staple every time we go down. As long as it’s not a 3hr wait 🤤
