This is not a political interview, the host is bounded to make the topic not that sensitive. Chinese leaders will exchange opinions with him personally, and they will not want any foreign political leader to express their ideas on TV directly. This is already an exemption for Mr. lee. Other people, even the U.S. President or UN chief secretary will not have such a chance to face chinese audience directly. Mr. Lee knew this clearly. That's why he visited China 30+ times
