- F30 335i with an Innotech Performance Exhaust (turbo back) installed by BMR Autowerkes / Sydney / Australia. Vehicle also has a JB4, BMR Tuning Cold Air Intake and BMR Tuning Charge Pipe

This may be a silly question, but is the microphone placed near the actual exhaust pipes? Because if this setup sounds this good from the cockpit then I'm definitely getting this setup.
Yes it uses an external mic placed closer to the exhaust.. Still sounds awesome from inside though!!

Nicholas Vasili stock gearbox.. I think the sound comes from the exhaust

+The Seabirds You can get crackles when you let off the gas on the n54 if you have the BMW Performance Exhaust, Performance exhaust Mod, or straight pipes. Downpipes will make the pops even louder/more. The n54 can't pop between upshifts :(

+Roberto Luongo Haha how's that? From my own experience on a 6sp 335i with the M performance exhaust there was no exhaust pop on a stock car. Full bolt ons sure it's possible but with a perf exhaust no. Also, every car is difference, and i'm assuming you're judging your opinion on youtube videos you've seen. Also, I said N54 in the E9x, this car has the N55.
