One night late crossing that bridge over the river I spotted a poor cat obviously scared to death so I stopped and tried to rescue it, that didn't go as planned and to my horror it jumped up on the rail and went over falling into the river!! I hope the poor cat made it but that current is strong I felt so bad but was trying to keep it from getting hit by a car which was certain death.
@@theamericanexplorer people in Arkansas are friendly and laid-back. Most people there are from there versus where I’m from Nashville that’s now a Yankee Infested Hell Hole.
Little Rock is fine during the day. Now night time I do agree, make sure you’re in for the night. Most of the violent crime in Little Rock is at night and personal. Like drug transaction gone bad and so on. As long as you don’t get involved in that lifestyle you’ll be ok. I’ve lived in Little Rock my entire life and never had a problem. In fact if you’re living paycheck to paycheck in another state I’d go ahead and recommend moving here. Housing is cheap. Now rent is somewhat high, but that’s everywhere.
That area you were in west of LR was really nice 40 years ago, and I know it's still considered nice, but the crime is out of control around LR and the taxes and cost are out of control as well. I almost moved back until I looked into every aspect of living there and I'm glad I didn't.Still a very beautiful place nature wise but not worth it.
@@JoeSmith-nu8oo I'm trying to figure out what urban area is both safe & affordable of all the places you mentioned. Memphis..horrible. Nashville not as bad, but expensive. Dallas & Houston aren't that cheap, and you have to search hard for decent neighborhoods. Austin costs are horrendous. There's small cities like Midland, Killeen, Waco, places like that. But I don't know the job or crime situation in those cities. El Paso is safe & affordable, despite the negative rhetoric of being close to the border. Beware of high property taxes & flood insurance costs in Texas. Personally I hate Texas. It feels like I'm living in Mexico. You're also going to run into the same problems with crime in Georgia, especially around Atlanta. Missouri? Kansas City is very expensive if you want to live in a nice area. And forget about St. Louis. If you think Little Rock is bad, try Birmingham, Alabama. However, Huntsville is much nicer. That's the only southern city I would choose over the Little Rock metro
@@jamesbrown9721 Yeah it's tough to find a decent place to live anymore. I like Texas because I was there in the Air Force but the big cities are always going to have the usual problems and cost, still Texas as a whole is less expensive compared to similar states. Midsize cities are looking like the best places to live in now, jobs and crime numbers are more acceptable, but you do sometimes get that spread out from major cities to the rural areas as criminals look for unsuspecting victims and less of a police presence.I'm almost convinced I need to leave the country though, hit Thailand or the Philippines or some other SE Asian country, Europe is not safe at all.
I’m moving to Little Rock and originally from Nashville. I despise Nashville to the point that I hope to never see the sight of it anymore. Most overrated city in America.
I was born in LR and live here to this day and I can assure you all that there’s nothing special to see here 😅😂 This town sucks ass. I’m ready to leave Arkansas
Oh come on Little Rock is not that bad as long as you stay in your lane and mind your fucking business like any other city just beware of your surroundings and you'll be fine.
@@vernonjohnsonjr7389 I understand Little Rock is competing for Rape capitol of the country! Plenty of people have been minding their fucking business and gotten robbed, murdered and assaulted so that doesn't always work. And they still have crap roads after 20 years🤨
I lived in North Little Rock for three years 1987-1989 🏠

Arkansas, It's said like R-CAN-SAW =)
That's because housing and the cost of living is by far more superior in Little Rock at a side by side comparison to Dallas/Fort Worth 🏠
If you come through now, you can see where the tornado came through West Little Rock and over into NLR, Jacksonville, and further east.
I’m actually going there next week so I gotta check that out.
Approaching McCain Mall 🛍️
I miss living in Arkansas
How come?
Why?
