Leone’s passion for rock & roll, blues, and jazz started when he was a young man growing up in the multi-cultural neighborhood of Bushwick Brooklyn in New York City, and his primary access to music was the New York City Public Library system. He has been playing music for over forty years, and has performed, toured, and recorded with artists as diverse as Albert Collins, Etta James, Vic Damone, Chaka Khan, Sam & Dave, Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Wilson Pickett, and Chubby Checker.
