Ok... so this is something i really need to write because I've been getting ALOT of comments about how i ranked every kenpachi. Alright so, spoilers down below in this message, make sure to watch the video 1st! Let me 1st start out by saying this video was made almost over 10 months ago. It has recently been getting thousands of views which im grateful for. But around the time of making this video, the translations for SAFWY were crap, and people's interpretation of certain parts of the novels are different. Not alot people liked that i put Azashiro above both Unohana and Kuryushiki. They think Azashiro should be below them. I agree because my opinion and interpretation has recently changed. But let me tell you why i thought the way i did. I think the real issue here is the fact that Azashiro was able to destroy kuryushiki's insides, but when he tried to do it to kenpachi, it was stated that his organs are as hard as steel. It's weird cause is this a spiritual pressure thing or just a Kenpachi Zaraki thing? If it is a spiritual pressure thing, than kuryushiki SHOULD NOT have died from Azashiro destroying his insides. The guy was literally known to have crazy amounts of spiritual pressure. But my opinion and how i interpret safwy has changed recently. Let's say this was a spiritual pressure thing, i would put Azashiro below unohana because she was destroying a much stronger kenpachi hundreds of times. Kuryushiki dying from that move even though he had crazy amounts of spiritual pressure, but kenpachi not dying because his organs are as hard as steel is just a weird situation. They should have never made Kuryushiki die from this. Another thing is that people have said Azashiro himself said that if kuryushiki used banaki then he would have lost. But Azashiro said he "COULD" have died if kuryushiki used banaki in the beginning of their fight. But even then Azashiro could have just merged with the air if he wanted to, OR KURYUSHIKI... Which he DID do. Overall stat wise kuryushiki stomps Azashiro but his hax is ridiculous. I honestly think Azashiro and kuryushiki could go either way. The novels safwy and cfyow scaling is HORRIBLE, and at the time the translations were crap. So now i do agree that 1. Kenpachi 2. Unohana 3. Kuryushiki 4. Azashiro With 3 and 4 being the ones that can be switched around
It's crazy that Unohana was the only one who saw true Aizen Shikai not? Then Unohaha was the only and the first Kenpachi who didn't die Until Zaraki's training. So how is Aizen going to say there are only 2 people he that can stop him, clearly he didn't know Unohana's past or what she can do or how strong she is!
I LOVE characters like Azashiro Kenpachi, glass canon characters just seem so interesting knowing they could get beaten by weaker characters yet their powers allow them to beat people way out of their league.
Couldn't Unohana's kaido make a difference during her battle with Azashiro? You took into account that Unohana killed Kenpachi a countless number of times but not that she was also using energy to revive Kenpachi so many times. This would tire her out. You also pointed out she died from being impaled through the throat as problem with her durability but she healed a wound in her chest she could fit her hand in and that throat stab was at the end of the battle after releasing her bankai. She then revived them both from basically death. If she can heal someone from almost complete disintegration then I dont see how Azashiro could survive long enough to win? Love your content bro. Love the interactions as well. Bluur is big into Bleach and doing collabs. Tommo is always a good pick too.

She wanted to die that’s why she died it’s that simple I don’t see anyone being actually able to beat her besides Yamamoto (also don’t say Aizen, he is overrated and plenty of people can beat him in bleach)
The fact that unohanna didnt see any other kenpachi worthy of killing her just proves they werent on her level an even stated multiple times she is the strongest outside of yammamoto
No. Strongest:Unohana/8th kenpachi cuz it could go either way Zaraki died and had to be revived way too many times which shows us that theres a huge gap between zaraki and unohana
@@thevenom7599 That was the second time they fought...which was explained in the very same fight in the chapters/episodes that you're referring to. The only reason Zaraki is "weak" now is because when he first fought Unohana he won and she even admitted he was much stronger than her which gave her the scar she carried on her throat. Not wanting to ruin his fun he placed his own "scar" on his mind to limit his powers because he didn't want to lose his fun in fighting. This is why Unohana mentions that they both scarred each other in their past fight, hers being a wound and Zaraki's being mental. The second "fight" only happened because central 46 wanted Zaraki to be brought back and his Bankai awakened.
It is specifically stated that Azashiro was greatly damaged after he fused with Kuruyashiki's insides to kill him, IMO there's a good chance he would die if he tried that with Unohana.
I agree! My opinion has recently changed on a few things, but i do think unohana would probably kill him. After all she only found kenpachi zaraki to be stronger than her
Well yeah given that Yamamoto only taught him how to use a sword with 2 hands and that's it nothing else. Cause they fear he'd be to powerful and wouldn't be able to contain him.
I think Unohana is #2 above Azashiro because of her insane healin ability, high intelligence, swordmanship, and huge reiatsu. Her reiatsu could actually nullify Azashiros hax abilities to a degree plus her high intelligence and experience could be used to further outwit him in my humble opinion. Obviously kingpin Zaraki is #1 over them all. Some people claim Unohana could best him but the reality is, Zaraki was already more powerful then her just as a young boy with no shikai or bankai while she was a full grown, heavily experienced woman. She even admitted herself that Zaraki was her better at that youthful age. None the less, this was a great video and now I can't wait for the tybw arc to be animated and for the hell arc to be released so I can witness some Zaraki Kenpachi greatness!

I just wanna say, that Unohana's bankai is not acid in my opinon. Considering of how she is a kido master with healing (learning from Krinji himself), she's using her own blood from ANY injury to convert it using kido. She can make her own blood acidic, to make herself look like as though her skin melts to the one she faces and reflect that image upon themselves. This make sensei with the picture we see in the manga AND Bleach Brave Souls, where we see her hand touching the wound that makes it later on bloody (not acid) and THEN the acid part comes into contact with others
Kiryoshikis bankai was banned so that’s the only reason he lost to azashiro and considering he was invited to zero division he could be even stronger than zaraki, we should find out more about him that’d be cool
About being invited to squad zero, it's a weird one for me because we know that the members of squad zero had all created something or contributed to the development of soul society somehow and we don't know what he created. And we are not made aware of strength being taken into consideration. Yamamoto, Shinsui, Unohana, Zaraki were all super strong but there was never any mention of them being invited
He didn't lose to Azashiro because his bankai was banned, he himself and Azashiro said that they lost due to holding back and with his last breath he said that he broke the rule that every Kenpachi shouldn't break and suffered the consequences.
Unohana and Kenpachi is still debatable because she didn't heal herself after getting stabbed in the throat. Physically stronger I agree but because of hax I think Unohana could really win if she wanted.
By her own admission she couldn't. She only beat young Zeraki because he began sealing away more and more of his power. That's why she said it was her sin and why she spent so much effort reviving him over and over until he recovered all that sealed power. Why she went into that fight intent on dying. Imagine being the greatest martial artist (doesn't have to be martial artist, it could be anything really. Musician, artist, craftsmen, etc) in the world, then finding someone even better, only for them to cripple themselves so you could remain the best.

Not really. Unohana herself admitted zaraki, as a kid without Shikai or bankai, was stronger than her. It’s all crystal clear in the manga. There are no debates there, let alone a grown up zaraki with shikai and bankai.
I mean if she ended up weaker than sealed Kenpachi, then she just gets outscaled by a decent amount on the Gotei's side Kenpachi, Byakuya, Toshiro, Kyoraku, Yoruichi, her brother, Urahara, Mayuri, Full Power Nemu, the 0 Squad etc. Basically anyone that can fight Quincy Elites. It's unfortunate but she got power crept extremely quickly

Just being one of the greatest medics is enough for Unohana to be there, but she believed herself to be a sinner for crippling Kenpachi and so her desire was to die. She never cared about fighting after Kenpachi.
@@khulmach9662 TYBW Bankai Byakuya is comparable to or above TYBW Bankai Kenpachi. Unohana was weaker than Base Sealed Zan Kenpachi. (She said he regained the strength he had as a kid). Then Kenpachi potentially got a soul zenkai after his fight with Gremmy and the Quincy girls jumping him. So the Kenpachi that fought Gerard base to base > the Kenpachi that fought Unohana, and he used Shikai and Bankai in that fight Mayuri fought Perninda who had literally adapted to this stronger Kenpachi's base level (though with the eyepatch on). Then Perninda had Vollstandig and such which would be a bigger boost than the Eyepatch and Mayuri held his own. Compare this to Unohana who's weaker than Base Kenpachi (Eyepatch off) Yoruichi's brother fought Askin in base, and Urahara fought Askin in Vollstandig. Askin in his base form was comparable to Yoruichi herself, and CFYOW states that Yoruichi and Base Byakuya are on the same level of power. The same Byakuya that's comparable or stronger than TYBW Kenpachi Skill wise is debatable. Byakuya mastered all of the basic 4 Shinigami arts, though if we say Unohana has better Zanjutsu and Kido, I'll give you that. Urahara mastered all of the 4 Shinigami arts too, but yo a higher degree than Byakuya based on what we've seen from his backstory and all his fights. I'd give Unohana the edge over everyone besides Yama in terms of swordsmanship and everyone besides Kirinji in terms of healing Kido, but I got Urahara over her in terms of normal Kido and the other areas Unohana isn't weak and I ain't downplaying her, it's just the story gave her a hard cap by stating she's weaker than Kid Kenpachi/Base TYBW Kenpachi

And since he fought Kenpachi in the Novel more recently, maybe Roka can now use it, since she her ability records everything. Azashiro is #0, his power is limitless and that's why he's 8 as 8 rotated 90 degrees is ∞. The only problem with him is he doesn't realize his full potential, nor is he trained to overcome his weaknesses. He could technically fuse with each zanpakuto, giving him the power of possession, could easily make the zanpakutos attack their own masters. He could also nullify absorption powers (one of his weaknesses) by possession or redirection(uryu absorption of reiatsu can be redirected).
I'm pretty sure unohana didn't survive because she knew that kenpachi was at his former state. She did what she needed, but you can't really assume she wouldn't be able to heal that if she did 100 tiems
The reveal about Unohana's past and true nature is brilliant by epic proportions, but I think the drawback in this is that since we never did see her have her moment to show just how much of a force of nature she is apart from her last moments with Zaraki and some flashbacks is that people have doubts about the claims and presented facts about her. I think she's second to just Yamamoto.
Obviously it's Kenny and he's my favourite character but *MAN* I love Unohana and her story. You go through most of it with her as a dedicated medic with a heart of gold, one of the sweetest and most beautiful characters in the story. Then Shunsui unchains the beast and the art style change with her facials.. my God and the voice acting change when she could be her true self again was unreal. It sucks we don't see her truly get to cut loose against the Quincies but all the love for the crazy lady none the less
@@CaptainHavoc Hard to say, but we know he was impressive enough to be given an offer to join the zero squad. And his bankai is even forbidden to be used in the seireitei. You could take that as a flex to how destructive his bankai may be. Do I dare say he’s probably around Shunsui’s level or below? At the very least, he could be close to a senior captain’s level.

Unahana for second place. When he can desintegrate Zaraki and revive him over and over. I think unahana can counter the inner destruction the bankai can cause. The wound on her throat is something she is ashamed of. She underestimated young Zaraki and yes it was some critical hit but nothing she cannot heal instantly. The amout of reiatsu she must have possed to regenerate some over and over again from bones must be outlandish. By the way, in the final fight she is unlocking zaraki full potential rather than kill him. Would she went for kill she could have done it, i think. Zaraki always has stated that she is the one to fear. He is brute strenght but she is death

There is one thing you are not considering here. Not once when she "bested him" in their fight was he at his full strength. He was stronger than her as a child and suppressed himself and didn't fight to his fullest when he noticed he was going to win. That was when he was a kid. when he unleashed power that was above Unohana she could no longer beat him. That was the goal she was tempering him and fixing him, correcting what she thought was her sin for making him suppress himself due to her weakness. He was always stronger than her. He just suppressed himself, plenty of people could have killed Zaraki at any given point if they just did it fast enough before he could remove his limiters or if he underestimated them, he never gave anyone that opportunity though. He limited himself to what his opponent could do. He needed more power than what removing his limiters gave him to beat unohana, he needed to fix his broken mindset too, which is what the fight was about.
Dang unohana insane in skills and power to add so she would be a true immortal if she took that route We had a missed opportunity with unohana vs aizen in anime but she had to heal the protagonists

I think the concept of the Kenpachi is brilliant. That way the Gotei 13 made sure they would always have a secret weapon that is the benchmark of the current generation of Shinigami. Like in Star wars with the rule of two. The next kills the previous one and that can only happen if the successor is stronger. That's why Unohana was always weaker than Zaraki. That was 10 generations of power being built up when Zaraki defeated Kiganjo.
I think cuz unohana's bankai isn't properly explained and that's why she landed in the third place even though I think her bankai would be able to counter Azashiro's bankai. When we see her use minazuki in the manga, it is theorize that the blood like substance is acidic and it immediately melts off flesh until there is nothing but bones left and it can also instantly heal and reformed and damaged organ or body and that was probably how she kept killing Zaraki with her bankai. So if that is true and it most likely is since there's no other explanation for her bankai, I think she can survive getting her organs and insides destroyed because when she uses her bankai she's literally nothing but bones. The reason why she wasn't able to heal the stab through her throat from Zaraki however definitely was not because she was unable to but it was because she didn't want to live. If anyone paid attention to the manga, you guys should already know that she plans to die in the fight with Zaraki just so that she can truly pass on the title of the kenpachi to Zaraki and also have him unlock his full potential. It's 100% that she could've healed her wound if she wanted to just like how she kept bringing Zaraki back to life but she chose to die and sacrifice herself instead just so that Zaraki can be the one true kenpachi
I love how after 10 generations of every Shinigami who succeed in the title kenpachi, Kenpachi Zaraki, the 11th holder of the 11 Division, feel like too much of a coincidence, is the only one who truly inherited it. Like the rest were there to keep the title warm.
Soya Azashiro is by far one of the most powerful and dangerous characters in the history of soul society. If you know his powers. He could merge and control with practically anything.. and destory you from the inside out.. and thats without him using bankai.
I truly hope that in this hell arc every kenpachi who died that we haven't seen in their full abilities will return to see who the strongest rlly is even tho it's kenpachi I want to see what the man who was called from squad 0 can do

Possible even higher, People don't understand how limitless Azashiro's potential is. He is the only Kenpachi who didn't get the chance to train, and still was strong.
Zaraki wasn't nerfed he just loves fighting to the brink of death hence why he matches his rieatsu with his enemy like his fight with Ichigo as said by aizen when he was speaking with azishiro

I know they claim Yami is the strongest Espada but we all know Ulquiorra was really the strongest. I would even argue that if Kenpachi ran up on Ulquiorra in his Segunda Etapa form it’s possible he would’ve lost. Another thing is I think Unohana could possibly still be the strongest is because of the name Yachiru which means 8 thousand styles in which if it was a serious battle before Azashiro could use his immune technique I think he would die. In chapter 104 of bleach it was stated that the Title Kenpachi was given to the person who killed the most people. I always got the impression that it meant the person with the title Kenpachi loves to fight and kill. When did it get changed to being the strongest?
I think it's everything you mentioned plus what i mentioned. The title of kenpachi seems to have more than 1 meaning. 1 the title is given to the shinigami who loves to fight the most, and who has killed the most people. Stated by hinataro. Chapter 104. Then kenpachi says himself that the title is usually given to the strongest shinigami. Chapter 114
I honestly would not mind if they retconned Kiganjo to have put up more of a fight against Zaraki. If the novels ARE canon, then this is the guy who KILLED the dude who KILLED AZASHIRO. Yet he just dies to Kenpachi in one hit. I really hope he appears in the Hell arc. Side Note: Kiganjo is the only Kenpachi apart from Unohana and Zaraki whose canonicity is non-negotiable. He's appeared in manga pages while Kuruyashiki and Azashiro appeared in novels. So yeah, I really hope he does something in the hell arc
Azashiro never died tho. He got banished to the muken (underground prison that aizen got sent to). The kenpachi that replaced him was probably some unproven shinigami since he got the kenpachi title for free.
I'm a little confused about your statement from 13:00. Unohana was able to injure and destroy Kenpachi's vitals organs hundreds of times and revive him each time and so her not being able to heal her throat should be attributed to other factors and not that she is unable to do so. Because it makes no sense that she can heal those injuries on Zaraki but can't do so to herself. The logic in that is nonexistent. Especially when we saw her heal herself after a hole the size of her hand was created in her chest. I'm just lost and confused by that

To answer your other question, yea we see unohana healing like crazy and bringing kenpachi back to life but she in fact did die from a sword to her throat.
@@CaptainHavoc Oh Yeah I am aware that she did die from that. It just baffles me with how it ended. Because she learnt healing techniques to prolong her fights. Do you think she let herself die then? Or that she was exhausted or something? Because it is a weird way for her specifically to die. She wasn't killed immediately and so she had enough time to heal herself if she wanted to. Or is that a stretch? About Zaraki and Kuryushiki, honestly, it still doesn't make sense to me. Yes we know Zaraki has huge amounts of spiritual pressure. But so did Kuryushiki. Could be that Kuryushiki had less than Zaraki did at the time. But then that will be disappointing given that the Zaraki at the time was "nerfed".
I agree! This is actually a topic me and the guys on discord talked about recently. It's almost obvious that unohana DEFINITELY let herself die because her only job was to get kenpachi back to his former strength. And there can only be 1 kenpachi. I thought about making a video on this. It could be possible that kuryushiki had less spiritual pressure than kenpachi at that time but like you said it would be disappointing since it was a nerfed kenpachi. Plus kuryushiki was hyped up. Honestly the problem is the novels lol. Kenpachi even survived hundreds of hado #96 and didn't die. Safwy have some sketchy things about it that don't add up. Especially cfyow.

The thing is, some of the other kenpachi were written by other authors. It’s destined for Zaraki to be the strongest. All the others were added later after Unohana and Zaraki.

retsu's fight with kenny is similar to itachi vs sasuke cause she only died due to him cause 1.) she needed someone to take over as the next kenpachi, 2.) she needed kenny to unlock his shikai and bankai.... if anyhting retsu is the strongest kenpachi already stated.
Do you read manga? She's clearly stated that zaraki always in the restricted state subconsciously because he likes to enjoy fighting. Unohana herself said that kid zaraki would have killed her if zaraki doesn't held back his power subconsciously. That's why she's trying to awaken zaraki. Get over it kid

Like it or not Retsu is the strongest. She wasn’t trying to kill kenpachi when they fought but make him stronger and carry on the true Kenpachi name. My ranking would be: Azashiro: limitless potential and hax (also underrated) Kurayashiki: broken but has a risky bankai Zaraki: basically has hax uped zenkai boost Unohana: has the most stable zanpakuto and could have beaten Kenpachi at muken if she wanted to, although Zaraki without mental restraints is stronger by a clear margin. P.S People don't really understand the nature of fights in bleach, Bleach isn't like the other animes where the strongest would always win If that was the case, shikai Ichigo after the match with Zaraki would have won against Byakuya. I don't know how to explain this thing but it's just like how Shunsui stated in SAFWY "One would beat a Vasto Lorde but can still lose to a Gillian" The fights in Bleach are supposedly Contradictive so don't suppose that the strongest one will always win. Bleach isn't the franchise where the stronger one will always win.

Ichinose Maki was really one of the only good things about the Bount arc. And even then, it was his Zanpakuto I liked, not really the man himself. Same for some of those dolls the Bounts used; found them more entertaining than the ones using 'em.

Not necessarily. It's a weird situation because unohana had this title when Yamamoto was still in power. The title of kenpachi is giving the the strongest shinigami. But you have people like shunsui and mayuri who are in the same ball park of power as kenpachi zaraki. Maybe the title means the strongest in swordsman ship?

Zaraki is the strongest by the simple fact that when he first met Unohana, before he started doing the unconcious supression of his power, he was able to basically one shot her. When she was training him in the 1000 year war arc she even says that she didn't use tricks in their first fight simply because she never had the time to do so, in other words, untrained young Zaraki was alredy so powerful that Unohana, the warrior that Genryusai said to have mastered every fighting style, couldn't do anithing against him. To the others we have the classic problem of the extremily variable power scale of in Bleach, were characters that were supposed to be all powerful might be nerfed because of "Tite Kubo's"

I feel the whole unohana thing was just so random out of nowhere it just bothers me we never got to see her fighting with her real powers against aizen and the likes wasted potential imo and then she just dies to kenpachi even though she couldve been a great help in the upcoming battles
I think the fault in saying weakest and strongest lies in our definition of it. Azashiro wasn't the strongest Kenpachi. He just had a very hax ability and was constantly using his Bankai. If every Kenpachi came into the fight with their Bankai he's probably not even top 3. Regardless I agree with you. Unohana would use any and every dirty trick in the book to kill him. Best case scenario for Azashiro is the both die.
I adored the Bount arc, like many Bleach arcs. But that one almost felt canon, and developed Uryu’s character immensely. The only reason people bitch about it, despite it being great, is that it isn’t at the same level as the canon manga, and people felt it was “getting in the way of the true Aizen plot line (despite filler often being necessary for an anime to continue.) They could have phoned it in (looking at you, Naruto. Talk about a slog.) But they didn’t. And made something fairly enjoyable while we waited for the Hueco Mundo arc to be animated. This is why I hate the anime community at times, even if I understand their flawed (or sometimes just honest opinions)

The reason zaraki was weaker than her because he mental block himself and restrain his own power just so that he wouldn't kill her and lost that chance to fight her again. Ok... so this is something i really need to write because I've been getting ALOT of comments about how i ranked every kenpachi. Alright so, spoilers down below in this message, make sure to watch the video 1st!
Let me 1st start out by saying this video was made almost over 10 months ago. It has recently been getting thousands of views which im grateful for. But around the time of making this video, the translations for SAFWY were crap, and people's interpretation of certain parts of the novels are different. Not alot people liked that i put Azashiro above both Unohana and Kuryushiki. They think Azashiro should be below them. I agree because my opinion and interpretation has recently changed. But let me tell you why i thought the way i did.
I think the real issue here is the fact that Azashiro was able to destroy kuryushiki's insides, but when he tried to do it to kenpachi, it was stated that his organs are as hard as steel. It's weird cause is this a spiritual pressure thing or just a Kenpachi Zaraki thing? If it is a spiritual pressure thing, than kuryushiki SHOULD NOT have died from Azashiro destroying his insides. The guy was literally known to have crazy amounts of spiritual pressure. But my opinion and how i interpret safwy has changed recently. Let's say this was a spiritual pressure thing, i would put Azashiro below unohana because she was destroying a much stronger kenpachi hundreds of times. Kuryushiki dying from that move even though he had crazy amounts of spiritual pressure, but kenpachi not dying because his organs are as hard as steel is just a weird situation. They should have never made Kuryushiki die from this.
Another thing is that people have said Azashiro himself said that if kuryushiki used banaki then he would have lost. But Azashiro said he "COULD" have died if kuryushiki used banaki in the beginning of their fight. But even then Azashiro could have just merged with the air if he wanted to, OR KURYUSHIKI... Which he DID do. Overall stat wise kuryushiki stomps Azashiro but his hax is ridiculous. I honestly think Azashiro and kuryushiki could go either way.
The novels safwy and cfyow scaling is HORRIBLE, and at the time the translations were crap. So now i do agree that
1. Kenpachi
2. Unohana
3. Kuryushiki
4. Azashiro
With 3 and 4 being the ones that can be switched around

I LOVE characters like Azashiro Kenpachi, glass canon characters just seem so interesting knowing they could get beaten by weaker characters yet their powers allow them to beat people way out of their league.
Kurotsuchi is another great example. I wonder how a fight between them would play out.

Couldn't Unohana's kaido make a difference during her battle with Azashiro? You took into account that Unohana killed Kenpachi a countless number of times but not that she was also using energy to revive Kenpachi so many times. This would tire her out. You also pointed out she died from being impaled through the throat as problem with her durability but she healed a wound in her chest she could fit her hand in and that throat stab was at the end of the battle after releasing her bankai. She then revived them both from basically death. If she can heal someone from almost complete disintegration then I dont see how Azashiro could survive long enough to win?

@@thevenom7599 That was the second time they fought...which was explained in the very same fight in the chapters/episodes that you're referring to. The only reason Zaraki is "weak" now is because when he first fought Unohana he won and she even admitted he was much stronger than her which gave her the scar she carried on her throat. Not wanting to ruin his fun he placed his own "scar" on his mind to limit his powers because he didn't want to lose his fun in fighting. This is why Unohana mentions that they both scarred each other in their past fight, hers being a wound and Zaraki's being mental. The second "fight" only happened because central 46 wanted Zaraki to be brought back and his Bankai awakened.
It is specifically stated that Azashiro was greatly damaged after he fused with Kuruyashiki's insides to kill him, IMO there's a good chance he would die if he tried that with Unohana.

I think Unohana is #2 above Azashiro because of her insane healin ability, high intelligence, swordmanship, and huge reiatsu. Her reiatsu could actually nullify Azashiros hax abilities to a degree plus her high intelligence and experience could be used to further outwit him in my humble opinion.
Obviously kingpin Zaraki is #1 over them all. Some people claim Unohana could best him but the reality is, Zaraki was already more powerful then her just as a young boy with no shikai or bankai while she was a full grown, heavily experienced woman. She even admitted herself that Zaraki was her better at that youthful age.
None the less, this was a great video and now I can't wait for the tybw arc to be animated and for the hell arc to be released so I can witness some Zaraki Kenpachi greatness!

I just wanna say, that Unohana's bankai is not acid in my opinon. Considering of how she is a kido master with healing (learning from Krinji himself), she's using her own blood from ANY injury to convert it using kido. She can make her own blood acidic, to make herself look like as though her skin melts to the one she faces and reflect that image upon themselves. This make sensei with the picture we see in the manga AND Bleach Brave Souls, where we see her hand touching the wound that makes it later on bloody (not acid) and THEN the acid part comes into contact with others

Kiryoshikis bankai was banned so that’s the only reason he lost to azashiro and considering he was invited to zero division he could be even stronger than zaraki, we should find out more about him that’d be cool

About being invited to squad zero, it's a weird one for me because we know that the members of squad zero had all created something or contributed to the development of soul society somehow and we don't know what he created. And we are not made aware of strength being taken into consideration. Yamamoto, Shinsui, Unohana, Zaraki were all super strong but there was never any mention of them being invited
He didn't lose to Azashiro because his bankai was banned, he himself and Azashiro said that they lost due to holding back and with his last breath he said that he broke the rule that every Kenpachi shouldn't break and suffered the consequences.

Unohana and Kenpachi is still debatable because she didn't heal herself after getting stabbed in the throat. Physically stronger I agree but because of hax I think Unohana could really win if she wanted.
By her own admission she couldn't. She only beat young Zeraki because he began sealing away more and more of his power. That's why she said it was her sin and why she spent so much effort reviving him over and over until he recovered all that sealed power. Why she went into that fight intent on dying.
Imagine being the greatest martial artist (doesn't have to be martial artist, it could be anything really. Musician, artist, craftsmen, etc) in the world, then finding someone even better, only for them to cripple themselves so you could remain the best.

Not really. Unohana herself admitted zaraki, as a kid without Shikai or bankai, was stronger than her. It’s all crystal clear in the manga. There are no debates there, let alone a grown up zaraki with shikai and bankai.

@@khulmach9662 TYBW Bankai Byakuya is comparable to or above TYBW Bankai Kenpachi. Unohana was weaker than Base Sealed Zan Kenpachi. (She said he regained the strength he had as a kid). Then Kenpachi potentially got a soul zenkai after his fight with Gremmy and the Quincy girls jumping him. So the Kenpachi that fought Gerard base to base > the Kenpachi that fought Unohana, and he used Shikai and Bankai in that fight
Mayuri fought Perninda who had literally adapted to this stronger Kenpachi's base level (though with the eyepatch on). Then Perninda had Vollstandig and such which would be a bigger boost than the Eyepatch and Mayuri held his own. Compare this to Unohana who's weaker than Base Kenpachi (Eyepatch off)
Yoruichi's brother fought Askin in base, and Urahara fought Askin in Vollstandig. Askin in his base form was comparable to Yoruichi herself, and CFYOW states that Yoruichi and Base Byakuya are on the same level of power. The same Byakuya that's comparable or stronger than TYBW Kenpachi
Skill wise is debatable. Byakuya mastered all of the basic 4 Shinigami arts, though if we say Unohana has better Zanjutsu and Kido, I'll give you that. Urahara mastered all of the 4 Shinigami arts too, but yo a higher degree than Byakuya based on what we've seen from his backstory and all his fights. I'd give Unohana the edge over everyone besides Yama in terms of swordsmanship and everyone besides Kirinji in terms of healing Kido, but I got Urahara over her in terms of normal Kido and the other areas
Unohana isn't weak and I ain't downplaying her, it's just the story gave her a hard cap by stating she's weaker than Kid Kenpachi/Base TYBW Kenpachi

Azashiro is #0, his power is limitless and that's why he's 8 as 8 rotated 90 degrees is ∞. The only problem with him is he doesn't realize his full potential, nor is he trained to overcome his weaknesses. He could technically fuse with each zanpakuto, giving him the power of possession, could easily make the zanpakutos attack their own masters. He could also nullify absorption powers (one of his weaknesses) by possession or redirection(uryu absorption of reiatsu can be redirected).
I actually think once he trains more he could really be one of the strongest characters in the vers

I'm pretty sure unohana didn't survive because she knew that kenpachi was at his former state. She did what she needed, but you can't really assume she wouldn't be able to heal that if she did 100 tiems
The reveal about Unohana's past and true nature is brilliant by epic proportions, but I think the drawback in this is that since we never did see her have her moment to show just how much of a force of nature she is apart from her last moments with Zaraki and some flashbacks is that people have doubts about the claims and presented facts about her. I think she's second to just Yamamoto.

Obviously it's Kenny and he's my favourite character but *MAN* I love Unohana and her story. You go through most of it with her as a dedicated medic with a heart of gold, one of the sweetest and most beautiful characters in the story. Then Shunsui unchains the beast and the art style change with her facials.. my God and the voice acting change when she could be her true self again was unreal.
It sucks we don't see her truly get to cut loose against the Quincies but all the love for the crazy lady none the less

@@CaptainHavoc Hard to say, but we know he was impressive enough to be given an offer to join the zero squad. And his bankai is even forbidden to be used in the seireitei. You could take that as a flex to how destructive his bankai may be. Do I dare say he’s probably around Shunsui’s level or below? At the very least, he could be close to a senior captain’s level.

The wound on her throat is something she is ashamed of. She underestimated young Zaraki and yes it was some critical hit but nothing she cannot heal instantly.
The amout of reiatsu she must have possed to regenerate some over and over again from bones must be outlandish.
By the way, in the final fight she is unlocking zaraki full potential rather than kill him. Would she went for kill she could have done it, i think. Zaraki always has stated that she is the one to fear. He is brute strenght but she is death

There is one thing you are not considering here. Not once when she "bested him" in their fight was he at his full strength. He was stronger than her as a child and suppressed himself and didn't fight to his fullest when he noticed he was going to win. That was when he was a kid. when he unleashed power that was above Unohana she could no longer beat him. That was the goal she was tempering him and fixing him, correcting what she thought was her sin for making him suppress himself due to her weakness.
He was always stronger than her. He just suppressed himself, plenty of people could have killed Zaraki at any given point if they just did it fast enough before he could remove his limiters or if he underestimated them, he never gave anyone that opportunity though. He limited himself to what his opponent could do.
He needed more power than what removing his limiters gave him to beat unohana, he needed to fix his broken mindset too, which is what the fight was about.

I think the concept of the Kenpachi is brilliant. That way the Gotei 13 made sure they would always have a secret weapon that is the benchmark of the current generation of Shinigami. Like in Star wars with the rule of two. The next kills the previous one and that can only happen if the successor is stronger. That's why Unohana was always weaker than Zaraki. That was 10 generations of power being built up when Zaraki defeated Kiganjo.

I think cuz unohana's bankai isn't properly explained and that's why she landed in the third place even though I think her bankai would be able to counter Azashiro's bankai. When we see her use minazuki in the manga, it is theorize that the blood like substance is acidic and it immediately melts off flesh until there is nothing but bones left and it can also instantly heal and reformed and damaged organ or body and that was probably how she kept killing Zaraki with her bankai. So if that is true and it most likely is since there's no other explanation for her bankai, I think she can survive getting her organs and insides destroyed because when she uses her bankai she's literally nothing but bones.
The reason why she wasn't able to heal the stab through her throat from Zaraki however definitely was not because she was unable to but it was because she didn't want to live. If anyone paid attention to the manga, you guys should already know that she plans to die in the fight with Zaraki just so that she can truly pass on the title of the kenpachi to Zaraki and also have him unlock his full potential. It's 100% that she could've healed her wound if she wanted to just like how she kept bringing Zaraki back to life but she chose to die and sacrifice herself instead just so that Zaraki can be the one true kenpachi

I know they claim Yami is the strongest Espada but we all know Ulquiorra was really the strongest. I honestly would not mind if they retconned Kiganjo to have put up more of a fight against Zaraki. If the novels ARE canon, then this is the guy who KILLED the dude who KILLED AZASHIRO. Yet he just dies to Kenpachi in one hit. I really hope he appears in the Hell arc.
Side Note: Kiganjo is the only Kenpachi apart from Unohana and Zaraki whose canonicity is non-negotiable. He's appeared in manga pages while Kuruyashiki and Azashiro appeared in novels. So yeah, I really hope he does something in the hell arc
Azashiro never died tho. He got banished to the muken (underground prison that aizen got sent to). The kenpachi that replaced him was probably some unproven shinigami since he got the kenpachi title for free.
I'm a little confused about your statement from 13:00. Unohana was able to injure and destroy Kenpachi's vitals organs hundreds of times and revive him each time and so her not being able to heal her throat should be attributed to other factors and not that she is unable to do so. Because it makes no sense that she can heal those injuries on Zaraki but can't do so to herself. The logic in that is nonexistent. Especially when we saw her heal herself after a hole the size of her hand was created in her chest. I'm just lost and confused by that

About Zaraki and Kuryushiki, honestly, it still doesn't make sense to me. Yes we know Zaraki has huge amounts of spiritual pressure. But so did Kuryushiki. Could be that Kuryushiki had less than Zaraki did at the time. But then that will be disappointing given that the Zaraki at the time was "nerfed".

Azashiro: limitless potential and hax (also underrated)
Kurayashiki: broken but has a risky bankai
Zaraki: basically has hax uped zenkai boost
Unohana: has the most stable zanpakuto and could have beaten Kenpachi at muken if she wanted to, although Zaraki without mental restraints is stronger by a clear margin.

Ichinose Maki was really one of the only good things about the Bount arc. And even then, it was his Zanpakuto I liked, not really the man himself. Same for some of those dolls the Bounts used; found them more entertaining than the ones using 'em.

Not necessarily. It's a weird situation because unohana had this title when Yamamoto was still in power. The title of kenpachi is giving the the strongest shinigami. But you have people like shunsui and mayuri who are in the same ball park of power as kenpachi zaraki. Maybe the title means the strongest in swordsman ship?

The strongest is clearly the only Kenpachi that was never killed like he was supposed to be for someone to claim that title.
Zaraki is the strongest by the simple fact that when he first met Unohana, before he started doing the unconcious supression of his power, he was able to basically one shot her. When she was training him in the 1000 year war arc she even says that she didn't use tricks in their first fight simply because she never had the time to do so, in other words, untrained young Zaraki was alredy so powerful that Unohana, the warrior that Genryusai said to have mastered every fighting style, couldn't do anithing against him. To the others we have the classic problem of the extremily variable power scale of in Bleach, were characters that were supposed to be all powerful might be nerfed because of "Tite Kubo's"

I adored the Bount arc, like many Bleach arcs. But that one almost felt canon, and developed Uryu’s character immensely. The only reason people bitch about it, despite it being great, is that it isn’t at the same level as the canon manga, and people felt it was “getting in the way of the true Aizen plot line (despite filler often being necessary for an anime to continue.) They could have phoned it in (looking at you, Naruto. Talk about a slog.) But they didn’t. And made something fairly enjoyable while we waited for the Hueco Mundo arc to be animated. This is why I hate the anime community at times, even if I understand their flawed (or sometimes just honest opinions)
