TheCarxpert i drive an new XF-S now and I get so many stares, comments from noobs that think it's a $165K instead of a $65K haha never ever got so much attention in my old (last gen) M5 M5 a much better track car and interior is a toss up but I the outside look and sound of a Jag is something special plus they're super super rare... good for being sexy... bad for resale haha
+Sino Deutsch Don't sell it. Resale evens out after 6-7 years when compared to German models that are similiar priced/equipped. I have a XK still and the 07 XJR black on black with the stainless steel grill and sport wheels. Everyone thinks it is a new car/model when they see it.
Resale isn't bad, actually better than AMG when you take into account the cheaper price of entry initially, Like my S63 new was 180k pre tax, XJL SS was 168k msrp after tax. The more uber rare jags like you RS hold their value better due to the rarity, and the lower the mileage the better@@sinodeutsch5777
Hi Steve, I have commented on your reviews before, and again I must say you are the best in the business. I have watched over the years everyone from John Davis in Motorweek to a Canadian guy, Zack Spencer on his videos called Motormouth. Of the previous 2 guys I mentioned, from the Veteran John Davis, like many other mediocre guys to Zack who is good, YOU SiR, in my opinion, are the very BEST. You keep the time to a good length and outline the important content. Many guys just go on and on with poor English and don't know, because they haven't researched the vehicle they are doing too much of nothing. Thanks again for your GREAT work. I like many others appreciate you.
There is a reason why you shouldn't buy the S8. It is about as interesting to drive and look at as your accountants neatly arranged underpants draw. The Jag is sublime to drive and look at, and if you want to stick with undergarments, this is yor mistresses stockings with a gun hidden in her inner thigh.
As a Supersport owner, I have to say you can't compare the R to this, it doesn't even have tables or rear massaging/reclining seats does sound better though, and have 40 more hp which you can top with a ecu tune.
I feel like you could probably get most of the same things for less money than the Jaguar. And it's exhaust note is kind of tinny and forced sounding. Perhaps a CTS-Vsport would do the job with equal aplomb. And it would sound better. I don't think you would be giving up that much in the way of comfort or quality for the price difference, and it simply looks better.
I usually like the look of Jaguars, but this one looks awful. The gap between the hood and front facia ruins the front, and the rear is ruined by those hideous looking slanted lights. It's even worse because this could have been a beautiful car.
Victor K No need to be sorry, just a difference of opinion. I also don't like the look of the new Lexus cars, which for some reason seems to be popular, so I guess I am an outlier. I prefer the more understated designs from BMW, Audi, and VW.
THat's false it pays homage to Jaguars of the past, and almost gets as much attention and praise for my looks as my Aston, at parties it turns more heads than rolls royces/bentleys. Clearly Ratan Tata and the athelets like David Beckham, supermodels, business tycoons, influencers etc who buy them etc agree
I have a more recent model of this car, looks much the same. And I agree. It doesn’t have that “Jaguar look” , inside or out. Everything looks like a Taurus to me lately. You’ve now got to get up to supercars and Hypercars to find a stunner. Except for some of the Cadillacs, tbh they’re pretty hot. But really.. art is sort of dead in most commercially produced things now. I hope to see a new style and courage boom.
It's not as good as the new S class, but nothing is, nobody with these cars uses the GPS, you use. your phone....have an S63 too and command confuses me, I actually prefer the jag infotainment system over the competitors since it's touch screen like in Bentleys. ALso the 2016+ ones have the best infotainment system in their class.
Comfortably the best looking car in it's class, it's got a wow factor which no German car has, the competition all look years behind Jag!

Thank you, Jeff! I really appreciate the kind words!
Why don't all force induction engines sound like this, it would be so lovely.

M.j moo m.j
dat sound
dear god... that sound!!!
I have the supercharged 2011 xjl . It’s sooo, overly and passing power is just ridiculous!
why is this paint job not available?
I don't know the answer to that. The USA looses out if you ask me.

It was the suspension changes .... BMW M vs ALPINA
What happened to the V8 in the XF?
They got rid of it. No longer offered. So sad.
Any reasons why I should get this over the S65, neglecting price?
f type r
+BoyComeHere Go test drive it for an hour (or less) and you will not need to ask.
Jag
Something different to the "usuals" of Audi, Mercedes, BMW... not that they're bad cars--far from it--but they are EVERYWHERE !
nice

People who can afford this car don't sit around watching RUclips reviews about it...
Actually i know someone who does it
Pedro Macedo i own a jaguar xj 2012
Victor K The point i was trying to make
I have this car…. Lol 😏
Its JagUar not jagwar
Not here, buddy.
@@stevehammes exactly lol people don’t pronounce it like that when they’re talking about the animal
The front end isn't too appealing
And the Tesla does 60 in 3.2 second

sorry, i disagree. i own this car. people ask me if they can take pictures of it. and they always go ''ohhhh look at that jag!'' when they see it..

+Kev50027 the new lexuses are hideous. My wife (who works in style and fashion) just remarked about it too while seeing their commercial on tv.

amazing rear
horrible UI, very laggy and slow, and horrendous GPS inputs
