What I love about The Newfangled Four is that they are really catering to the newer generation of barbershoppers. Their humor is that of the next generation and a lot of the songs that they do are for a newer audience. Not to mention that the NF4's humor is a bit odd, which matches the new humor and that they're ridiculously talented. I just want a song that's centered on Joey, Jake, and Ryan 😂
"Such a bae like Jackson, yas queen slay like Jackson!" Yeah, they're doing a great job of appealing to the kids. How they even know that is my question, I'm 14 and I didn't know what those terms meant until a couple of months ago lol
For those keeping track of thematic links between the sets 1) Misprounouncing Jackson's name 2) Jackson being a "bad" lead/wanting another lead 3) Jackson's red hair 4) Jackson not hitting notes 5) Jackson messing up a joke 6) Donald Trump 7) Stockholm Syndrome 8) What IS IT? 9) Making Ryan walk 10) Joey Buss making awesome sounds with his mouth 11) References to the 2017 set! 12) And of course.... dissing the judges
@@jay-leebusque-blackburn6747 They made jokes about the quartet "Stockholm syndrome" in the songs 'Banana Phone' and 'the Wells Fargo Wagon' in their 2018 set.
Straight up. Whoever runs the BHS RUclips account really should change the title to, "Gaston but it's a barbershop quartet". I understand you wanna keep it uniform. But the potential for exposure is through the roof with that title.
I really like this canon they’ve created where they can spell “Niebrugge” but not pronounce it, and at the same time they can’t spell Jasjxt7on and also can’t pronounce it.
1:27 Joey's enthusiasm killed me haha :) Loved that one they're really talented, they can mix amazing jokes in their songs and they also can be very sentimental (a cottage to sell was so beautiful). I'm happy I could hear such an amazing quartet thanks to their videos.
It feels that way, but it actually is another compliment. If someone is easy to bolster, that means they have a lot going for them so it's easy to come up with good things to say about them.

Ryan is such a good baritone. Like, he’s not just there, he has a place
Singing baritone is, after all, more of a personality. Because you don't usually hear baritones. Except for the good ol' Baritone tiddlies.
@@jazzdaddycriticisms7049 I thought that said tiddies

To be fair- compared to the rest of the channel this video blew up
probably because of people like me who specifically subscribed just to watch nff

The barbershop equivalent of dabbing on the haters.
“Yass Queen Slay like Jackson”
That part they snapped their fingers I laughed like a freak
Holy crap Ryan has got some crazy range, he sings a B flat full voice in the intro
Joetastic I mean, he’s a little flat, but it was hella impressive.
Firoch That wasn’t full voice though, but it did have a lot of volume on it
Isn't that an f?
Mathew James yeah it’s in between a B flat and A

Gaston but he's a barbershop quartet
