Bro tip if you’re a faith or arcane build, use Rotten Butterflies in your left hand. Cast Rotten Butterflies until the rot damage kicks in and THEN spam Moghs spear. It worked for me after 3 tries.
Yes it works in second faze, just run towards the entrance then run back to the corner, rinse and repeat until he gets stuck again. If you’re a mage u can use zamor ice storm, or explosive ghostflame, or the new explosive bubble spell you get from doing that one guys quest
I'm happy to say I did every boss legit, but it probably entirely relies on the fact my character is level 307 and I got a pretty good build going. That final boss I had to really check my bag of tricks to beat tho. Changed up everything

Yeah you should be half that level don't change builds and use more crap to buff to beat a boss just get better otherwise you ain't rlly good and other souls games won't be able to help you like elden ring
Nah the boss is just hard , but u can kill it . I kill him with mimic , and Rellanas swords , also using encanments and sorceris (srry 4 the bad english , is not my first language)
Y'all say he's a terribly designed boss but I beat him on my 3rd attempt he's not badly designed he's just got a different kinda fight compared to most of the bosses, and killing him is worth it, giving you an amazing A scaling weapon almost 6 to 9 shadow fragments in the area to the left of the arena and one of the most beautiful places in the DLC behind the marika statue in the room before his fight (use the O mother emote)
Aside from the running ram attack I think this boss was easier than the other bosses in this game and I mean way easier since dodging his attacks were easier and his moves can be predicted very easy
@@based-ys9umParry shield and ADLS. Pretty much all you will ever need in the DLC. The DLC is very parry heavy, at least compared to base game. Parry is a demon souls mechanic and it still reigns supreme, git gud
Yeah, but torrent is fucking useless in this fight. Boss runs faster than torrent does and can kill torrent in one to two hits, then finishes you off when you fall off torrent. 😬
@@based-ys9um seriously. After Sekiro I thought Elden Ring was going to be more evolved. Our tarnished is relatively slow and the only thing new was the ability to jump(barely) in combat. It says a lot that people would want to cheese a fight.
I was almost max level in the dlc when i fought him and i just murdered him one try without really trying with my mimic tear when i was tracking down the last scadutree fragments 😂 my build was op
I genuinely enjoyed fighting this guy, except staying in melee range was a little bit of a chore. Not my favorite DLC boss, but I get why people dont like him
@@user-jv1ol5gi1s yup, definitely took me a ton of tries but works. after phase 2 starts, you have to lure him to the corner again. sometimes he gets stuck on the previous pillar, so you can just run out to the left and then run back to your spot to draw him in. used zamor ice storm

The only reason why they made the bosses almost impossible was cause players were saying how the normal game was way too easy, so they took that as a very personal challenge
They need to stop thinking how can we make this hard? And start saying, how can we make this fight interesting? It will only keep getting worse because the fan base. And you can't criticise from s boss design.
Welp i didn't need to cheese him to beat him i actually like the fight the only bullshit i saw so far was the gravity pulse he would spam but i was lucky he wasn't able to spam this on me so much
Is there any real consistent way to keep him from just walking around the corner? I’m sure the ash works as long as he’s lodged in the corner properly but I can’t keep him there :(
This is very much luck based and he might push u out of the corner in second phase but it works still (1.12.2) and u can keep repeating it after he kicks u out of the corner

Al his attacks are dodge-able. I used milady with piercing fang and was able yo kill every boss in the dlc without summons mostly within 10 tries except for the final boss. I suck at the game and Elden ring is my first souls game, so y’all got no excuse.
I love how you just mod the boss to just not fucking walk around the corner and funny how my spear doesn't seem to damage him through the wall unless it's the third boon of the ash... By that time he simply walks around the corner

I’ve seen people use blasphemous blade, scarlet rot breath, zamor ice storm spell, etc. Really if you have anything that does an aoe throw the wall you should be ble to hit him with. If you don’t use magic, try Radahn’s Greatbow Aah of War with those golden arrows for the rain of exploding arrows see if those can hit him etc
How do you not have mogh’s spear in DLC, you had to kill him to get in here. If you already trade your remembrance for his spell, You can still replicate his remembrance in dlc area to get his spear.
I didn’t really have that much of a problem with this boss? The first charge was hard but there are ways to mitigate the damage you take from it (if you dodge to the side you sometimes take more damage). The rest of the fight is just something you have to learn. A lot of the boars attacks are kind of similar to the hippo so you should already have a head start on some of them.

FYI, for a mage, Zamor ice storm works well too. Just did it.
You just need to roll into him to dodge the charge, plus every attempt starts with the attack so it’s easy to practice

If you still can’t do it max out greatshield soilders and, then max out blasphemous blade, you also want to go to the same exact spot.

The way I had to do it is, use the rotten breath dragon incantation and then hug the walls. He's easy peasy and it's a bit cheaper then Mohgs spear

Whenever he charges at you, you are able to dodge twords him and you won’t get hit
You can do the same thing with driyleaf hand to hand

Idk why but my hitboxes where working fine, so the boss was fairly enjoyable.

Once he changes form just get back on torrent and run around make sure he’s following you then go back to the spot

You can dodge his charge. I’ve had success dodging to the right side of him
turtle up with stone shield (no skill aow) and strongest sword. guard counter all day. wasn’t too bad (malenia bad anyways)

Not patched as of 6/29/24. Just took me a few times to find the sweet spot. When he goes to phase 2 you might just have to do the first step again

On NG+8 and thought commander Gains was actually pretty fun, and he had a learnable move set. The hit boxes were hard to get used to
