Litmus test of our iman:
1. The quality of our ibadah and repentance in private
2. Our response in facing calamity at the first strike of hearing the news (What do we feel inside? Do we directly link our hearts back to Allah?
3. Our akhlaq to the closest people in private i.e., to our children, wife, etc esp. the vulnerable ones.

Brother,
It is the sunna according to lots of scholars to make du'aa at that time but not loudly
Abu Musa al-Ash’ari said he heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم talking about the Friday time - meaning: the moment when supplications are answered - and he said: “It is between the imam sitting until the prayer is completed.” Narrated by Muslim.
And in another hadith : " it is short moment"
عن أبي موسى الأشعري رضي الله عنه أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يحدث في شأن ساعة الجمعة -يعني: ساعة إجابة الدعاء- فقال: «هِيَ مَا بَيْنَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ الْإِمَامُ إِلَى أَنْ تُقْضَى الصَّلَاةُ» رواه مسلم.
و في رواية: «وَهِيَ سَاعَةٌ خَفِيفَةٌ
