Good stuff! Only reviewers I’ve heard talk about Ganymeade is you and CubaKnow, now quite a few are. I’ve seen the Extrait as well but have yet to sample the first. Good video 💪🏾
Thankful that you turned me on to Lunar vetiver and Zaharoff Sig Rose as I love wearing them both. I think my next pick up is going to be Bois Imperial and Dior Homme 2020. Thank you for putting out content that is outside of the box. It definitely benefited my fragrance collection.

I mentioned Enclave today in a recommendation of another fragrance (which I know you love!) by the same nose - Russian Tea by Masque Milano. It's also a mint blast like Enclave, but I tend to enjoy it a bit more :)
I recently purchased Halfeti Cedar based on your recommendation, and it is just as incredible as you have long stated. It just takes the original to another level. Thanks!

Lastly, I was playing the video through my little portable speaker and the lower frequencies of your voice were vibrating my kitchen table LOL Jurassic park style 🤣.
Hey Justin. You hit a couple of my favorites. The MFK and the Penhaligons. I wear both quite often. I have had my eye on the Caron too. Thanks for the video.
@qusaimousa1 I hope you’re sampling before buying. The silver is the more masculine offering and gold is feminine. Same notes, overall gold is warmer. Imo GFS is far superior
I can definitely back this up (as at the time of me noting this) that the Zaharoff Signature Rose is the top rose smelling cologne in my sample list. In my list of roses, I have it, Moschino Toy Boy, Lattafa Amethyst, Fanette The Fatale Rose and as of this week, (I finally got) Initio Atomic Rose. Toy Boy was last, as it wasn't that impressive. Then we have The Fatale Rose, which is ok, but spray too much (more than 2) and it is cloying, especially near any heat. In the middle is Lattafa Amethyst. Its a clone of Atomic Rose, but in this case the real deal won over the virtual cola. If Sig Rose is #1, then #2 is Atomic Rose; its nice enough for the runner's up, but could be nicer. Probably mid year, I'll try out some Argos samples and Ganymeade, as well as some MFKs and some more BDKs, as I have 3 now. Maybe Enclave. Might throw in Halfetti Cedar, as I am curious how they did it. I grew up around freshly cut and cured and seasoned cedar boards and know those smells all too well. Using your criteria and looking at my niche samples, these make the cut, apart from Sig Rose: BDK Rouge Smoking, Montale Ristretto Intense Cafe. Honourable mentions include: Amouage Reflection Man and Byredo Mojave Ghost (not made in the period), Zaharoff Brass & Soul and Business Over Pleasure (sold out/discontinued).
Have you had an opportunity to sample any fragrances from Scents of Wood? I've come to really love this house. They age the perfumers alcohol in different wood barrels to add character to the fragrances. Plum in Cognac is magnificent. Also, got a decant of Ganymede Extrait in today. Looking forward to trying it out this weekend.

I feel ya... as an aside - I'm completely baffled Lunar Vetiver still remains as hidden as it is. Absolute gem...
I agree with some that Burlington 1819 is very polarizing . I tried wearing it for a couple of days, but my skin keeps on telling me “ hey, I can’t handle this anymore “😁😁😁 But don’t get me wrong, this is truly a unique, very elegant creation.
Another excellent video. I have Gentle Fluidity Silver, which is one of my top 5 all time favorites, and Enclave, which I seem to enjoy more with repeated applications.
Wow, two of my favorite freshies are in this video with Burlington1819 and Gaymede. Burlington1819 to my nose is really cuminy grapefruit with musk. Could be too simple but such a blend shows quality and sophistication. Ganymede on the other hand is niche fragrance at its finest. The mineralic, metallic and ozonic freshness is just too damn good combined with the touch of spice with immortelle, citrus from mandarin, fruit from osmanthus, clean wood from akigalawood and leather from saffron is just a treat to smell. Lunar vetiver is really next on my list. The only thing holding me back is i already have Wet Stone and i cant afford ti have multiple bottles from a niche house unless its Roja; for now atleast. Great list JC
Just got Halfeti Cedar. So I had to se what you said about it again, lol. Maaaaan, this is Gorgeous!!! 🔥 🔥 Thanks You for bringing this to my attention..
Funny thing....While watching this video....a package arrived...!!!.....and it was my order of Amouage Enclave !!!!.....At first spritz....I was unsure....then I let it develop...and WOW...yes....it is a special fragrance for sure. Very unique too. LOVE it !!
Fair play for hanging in there on the retake Justin. Just wondering what your thoughts are now on Ganymede Extrait? I haven't seen you mention in your other content. I am fascinated by it. I was a bit embarrassed by its cumin scent but then I got a few compliments so I began to embrace that. It sticks to my clothes forever so I put it on my hoodie for chilling out at home. So expensive though!
Again, love when something I own is on your list - Adonis Awakens. Question, the way you describe Zaharoff's Signature Rose it seems one could own both?
Not redundant at all. I have both Signature Rose and a sample of Adonis Awakens. Although both have rose, the incense in Signature Rose gives it a masculine edge and a quite unique scent profile compared to all my other rose frags. It also layers amazingly well with most amber fragrances. I don’t normally layer, but I find ambers tend to be linear and a bit boring, and a little Signature Rose adds lots of interest to me and has gotten good reactions from others. It’s also great on its own.
Great video. Tried about half of them and what I tried I loved. Gentle Fluidity Silver is lovely, probably the best from the house. Halfeti Cedar is Amazing but I prefer Halfeti Leather. To me the best Rojas are Scandal and Danger but Burlington 1819 smells amazing. I'd put Ebene Fume on that list too.
@@stayfreshproductions I saw it. LOL. I guess to me most TF fragrances are niche because they are quiet unique. Tuscan Leather, Beau De Jour, Bois Marocain, Ebene Fume, Costa Azura are my favorites. The rest are also lovely. The only one that I didn't like was F** Fabulous. That one is an outlier and just too weird.
Great that you also like MFK GFS. Maybe we have a similar taste. I think I should try Amouage Enclave, as I also like those minty fresh (e.g. Torino 21) but at the same time ambery warm type of fragrances.
I need to add some more summer scents to my collection as it is one category I am certainly lacking in. That Gallagher Pearfecto might be calling my name. I haven't tried anything from the brand yet and was wondering what to try first. I'll definitely be adding that one to my sampling list.
I have a lot of regrets with fragrances but I can honestly say Halfeti Cedar is not one of them. When I first heard about of it on your channel back when Covid was strangling all markets, I managed to get a sample and then immediately went on a CIA level hunt to buy it because it was unavailable Everywhere 😂. Found a shop in the Uk that had a bottle, and I scooped it up. Still have it. I don’t wear it often, because I can’t find many suitable occasions to do it. It’s not something I’d wear to work or just to step out the house. It’s too classy for that. Collared shirt at a minimum, evening or night, dinner wine and a band or orchestra playing. That’s the setting I see this in. I will try the lunar vetiver too. I have the Roja the Guerlain and the TF as well as Hermes because I do love vetiver. I like the Roja the most. So I definitely want to see what magic this brings that the others do not.
14:00 that moment of : Oh no, Oh no, Oh no no no noooo :))) Ok Justin I will try Halfeti Cedar and Signature Rose. You think they both work well in spring and summer? Thanks for the video. great job as always
This is wild 😳… I literally just ordered the Penhaligon 5 oz sample kit!! I got the notification of this video, and you’re reviewing one of the scents I’m curious to place my nose P.S. today I received my first niche full bottle … Aqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza!!! It’s a floral Freshie on my skin. I did blind buy, I kinda enjoy the thrill from time to time. It’s almost like a non offensive office scent.
Have you tried the original Halfeti, Justin? Cedar is an interesting scent, and lasts for ages, but it's quite linear on my skin. The original has so much more depth to it imo.
My wife absolutely hates Pearfecto. I blind bought it knowing I'd fall in love. Unfortunately, she swears it smells like pickles. I on the other hand think it's one of the best tropical scents I own. Too bad I don't get to wear it much.
Great list Justin. I have tried most of these in sample form and enjoy most. Haven’t tried Burlington yet I here good and bad things and I fear the cumin would just put me on the dislike side of the scent. I also haven’t tried Halfeti cedar. It sounds great it’s just that there’s not enough time and money in my life to sample everything. If I can make a few recommendations to you id ask that you look into Agatho 195 AC it’s a green bitter fig scent that I’m currently loving Next would be bulgari Onehk from the le gemme collection which is a leather incense which despite heavy notes has a delicate almost airy mid that dries to an unsweetened very light amber accord. It would be most comparable to Gucci guilty absolute upon initial spray but in reality the two are worlds apart side by side. Lastly please review invasion Barbare. I’m sure just like me it’s all about too much product vs availability and time to try them. The le gemme line by the way has many great frags once you get past Tygar. And hey. Send me your address and I’ll send you some samples. Would love to know what you think. Have a great day.
Afnan Highness III Green is an incredible clone. I have it and love the scent. Creed has lost their mind with their retail prices. I’ll get them at discounters.
I'm probably one of the few who has actually smelled the Ganymede flanker, and it's pretty poor. For context, it's been out for around a month now. A very dry myrrh in the base that just doesn't align whatsoever with the original profile. Poor value also (50% less ml for 50% more price), but not redundant for what it's worth. I agree with some of the scents in this video, e.g. I think Enclave and Ganymede are sure-fire unique releases in the last 5 years. But I also heavily disagree with others, e.g. GFS is a well-done fresh white floral, but that doesn't justify any top 10 placements since that whole genre has minimal discrepancies. Same for Lunar Vetiver which basically smells like several other niche vetivers from Frederic Malle or Roja. The indie fragrances I can't speak on, but I don't think indie should be making such a list since they (typically) get 0 play from the crowd. I went and scrolled through some of my lists to see what unique scents have came out in the last 5 years that already have some recognition. The core 3 that I came up with are Nishane's "Nefs", Xerjoff's "Tony Iommi", and Amouage's "Opus XIV Royal Tobacco". Scents I am on the edge about (lack popularity, has similarities to other releases, not trending strongly enough): Xerjoff's "Starlight", Nishane's "Tero", Initio's "Paragon", and The House of Oud's "Crop 2022".
Gris Charnel extrait was another flop for me as i could detect various familiar scent DNAs found in many designer n overhyped niche stuffs. Just like layton, so much disappointed. On the other hand ganymade , first impression has ben good and coincidentally i ordered a sample of halfeti cedar and enclave just yesterday. So pumped and a lil scared as well. Hope i like them :)

So maybe you guys can help me with this... I had a sample of Ganymede which blew me away... loved it... then decided to buy a 100ml bottle... and i have to say... the juice is half the potency of the sample I had... its so watered down, was it reformulated? I am so disappointed its literally a fraction of the sample I had. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi Justin pleasure to meet you... What I meant was everything I experienced with the sample was beastmood... 1 maybe 2 sprays of the 2ml sample was enough for me to in a very noticeable scent bubble for hours ... The bottle I have requires me to over spray just to get a fraction of the experience. At first spray it's definitely a muted version which then becomes a light skin scent within literally 10 minutes...
@@stayfreshproductions got it from a reputable store in Montreal called Etiket a purveyor of niche fragrances... I still have to talk to them about it... Hoping they will do something about it.

I respect all of his choices here, but...to leave out Zarahoff Signature Tabac is borderline criminal. There's NO WAY Sig Rose is better than Sig Tabac. Zero. None.
@@stayfreshproductions I live in Germany and here the brand is not offered in the niche sector. It sounds great it’s just that there’s not enough time and money in my life to sample everything. If I can make a few recommendations to you id ask that you look into
Agatho 195 AC it’s a green bitter fig scent that I’m currently loving
Next would be bulgari Onehk from the le gemme collection which is a leather incense which despite heavy notes has a delicate almost airy mid that dries to an unsweetened very light amber accord.
Thank you Rob, I will look into those.
Wore Halfeti Cedar to work and got no compliments and a fragrance complaint off 3 sprays..Definitely polarizing
Afnan Highness III Green is an incredible clone. I have it and love the scent. Creed has lost their mind with their retail prices. I’ll get them at discounters.
Another great video Fam
You are the only one who Talks about penhaligons ❤❤❤ its my Favorite House
Endymion Concentré is my favorite amongst them all
@@o̸ණ halfeti and halfeti cedar for me
gris charnel extrait is atm my favorite fragrance in general.
I found Ganymede similar to Loewe Solo.
Push down that frustration to the ground 😆 Nice job man.
Thanks! 👍
Love ur v neck where did you get it? It looks like good quality...
It's from Into The AM, should be linked in the description!
@@stayfreshproductions thanks...
I love how this went off the rails😂😂😂 love the videos
Thank you!
Had a sample of Pearfecto. Great
Are samples of the Roja Parfums 1819 available? I have Fate Man from Amouage and I love the cumin note in it. It’s truly my favorite fragrance.

Thank you for the tip Justin.
The best perfumery here refused to stock Ganymede Extrait bc it doesn't live up to their standards. Says a lot considering they stocked Sora Dora.
There could be a number of reasons. First off, how are you defining "potency"? Do you mean its longevity, or the presence of the scent overall?
Hi Justin pleasure to meet you... What I meant was everything I experienced with the sample was beastmood... 1 maybe 2 sprays of the 2ml sample was enough for me to in a very noticeable scent bubble for hours ... The bottle I have requires me to over spray just to get a fraction of the experience. At first spray it's definitely a muted version which then becomes a light skin scent within literally 10 minutes...
@@rowmac where did you get the bottle?
@@stayfreshproductions got it from a reputable store in Montreal called Etiket a purveyor of niche fragrances... I still have to talk to them about it... Hoping they will do something about it.
Thanks brother
When you were describing "Pearfecto" and said "there's a little melon in here" it sounded like "there's a little melanin here" lol Anyway thank you for another great video
Haha!
Lolol, you clearly knocked it out of the park in the unrecorded version. lol Not because you did badly, but your face when you came back after the pause lololol
Thank you lol
Just ordered Aimez Moi Comme Je Suis....for $76....finally at discounters.
Enjoy!
you turned me om to MFK gfs - I bought a 35ml bottle and it has quickly become my new favorite scent in my collection
Brother, do you happen to know a perfume there smells like shisha/vape smoke? Like a fruity/tropical Smoky airy perfume
Haven't quite come across that yet.
I would love to hear your opinion on Aedes&Venustas Signature EdP.
It really impressed me with its unusual rhubarb accord, smelling natural but so elegant and alluring at the same time.
I'd like to try it sometime. I've tried their Musc Encense and it is gorgeous.
is Adonis Awakens safe for a California Spring?
Sure!
Great list and definitely appreciate that you move in your own lane as to the diversity in selections from houses that are not as frequently reviewed.
Thank you!
Enclaveeeeee. So good
Hmmmmmm...I respect the list. Intestinal. Great content
What's that really interesting audio in the background? Sounds like a vibe
Where in the video?
In the Intro Section upto 3:00 mins. Also, ordered the Amouage Enclave tester, based on your recommendation! Looking forward to trying it out!
(FYI: criteria is plural of criterion)
Uh…I know.
😂😂😂😂😂
Much success! God bless
JC Your the best.

Isla blu is oligarch it's already back 💙
Yep!
I bought Lunar Vetiver. A slightly better version of Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver, yet utterly boring. Nothing beats Guerlain's Frozen Vetiver. Even Armani's Vetiver d'hiver is better.
I understand if it bores you! I absolutely love it.
It looks like I'm never gonna stop buying fragrances😢
Stopping is not as necessary as slowing down!
Tarathi Blue is a great clone of Tygar.
You caught that Roja bottle because of all the karate movies you saw as a kid 😁😁😁
Lol
Good catch 😂
Nice list Justin.
I mainly use Cédrat Boisé, Halfeti & Gentle Fluidity Silver.
By the way, did you have the chance to try the OG Halfeti ? (I tried the Cedar flanker, but I'm really in love with the OG).
Have to put my nose on Enclave !
I still need to try OG Halfeti!
10's are "IN"today✌️😂
Ok Justin let me challenge you with a question : Signature Rose or Déclaration d’un soir? 😜
Haha unfair. Both totally different treatments of rose!
@@stayfreshproductions had several bottles of Déclaration d’un soir. Time to get Signature Rose. Thanks Justin 😉
Don't worry about cloning yourself, armaf is already working on it
lol
I respect all of his choices here, but...to leave out Zarahoff Signature Tabac is borderline criminal. There's NO WAY Sig Rose is better than Sig Tabac. Zero. None.
They are both beautiful, yet incomparable fragrances!
That’s like comparing pizza and bananas. 🤷🏾♂️
Oh. I'm surprised that "Caron" is considered a niche brand.
How come?
@@stayfreshproductions I live in Germany and here the brand is not offered in the niche sector. If a retailer carries this brand, then the fragrances are offered at reasonable prices and as a matter of course are put on the shelf next to brands like Dior, Givenchy, Cartier or Prada. Even on Internet forums, "Caron" is considered more of a designer brand. Good to know that this is not so true.
@@Fooggs Caron is one of the oldest French perfume brands, and they focus solely on perfumery.
This looks like Ale with 15% alcohol content.
