Never actually seen the whole series, just caught some episodes here and there.. honestly the only show I was bummed about for not having cable in the 2000’s.. I ordered this from amazon and can’t wait to finally experience this

It was great, and totally worth it.. no problems with the discs.. have been debating about getting Korra and its mixed reviews or just calling it a day lol

Honestly I dont understand why it gets so much hate 😔 I too would like another series with the og team avatar gang, but I honestly love Legend of Korra as much as The last Airbender. I personally loved seeing the avatar verse flourish in a modernized setting, and I love season 3&4! Theres also plenty of connections and cameos throughout Korra from The last Airbender series too 👏👏
I wish the discs labels were color-coded according to the element that each season represents (e.g. blue for water, green for earth, and red for fire).
That would have been so marvelous! Too bad they probably cut corners in cost as much as they could.
Never seen this series heard it is unreal! Looks like a real nice set. I'd say the animation really pops.

After 12 years, Avatar: The Last Airbender is finally out on Blu-ray. They released the first Avatar: The Last Airbender DVD as far back as January 31, 2006, but the complete series didn't come out on Blu-ray until summer 2018.
After 12 years, which is way too long!

bluedogviking I like this idea, but i don't know if I could constitute an entire video for it. What do you think? From what I can see, there are not much differences besides the fact that it's 1080p widescreen and a little different on the artwork. Thanks for commenting!
Yeah I never understood why people gripe so much about video quality. I could watch this show in 360p and have the exact same experience as 1080p.

ii AyJay o i completely disagree. After spending ages watching shitty quality rips of cartoons on RUclips years ago, being able to watch these shows in 1080p is incredible and enhances the experience. Video quality improvements is a thing we should always strive for, especially in a premium blu ray set.
Nathan Jones I think a comparison video would be great! The DVD and streaming versions are notorious for their poor quality, I think the side by side difference would surprise you. Also I dont think the blu rays are widescreen? The show was made in 4:3 so there's no way it could be widescreen without cropping or stretching.
Woah! Congratulations. Can I ask you something? I really want to buy this, but I need to know if the complete Book three has Spanish Audio. I know the box says it does, but DVDs has just english audio. Can you check and tell me, please?

Pick this up last week. So pumped. Can't wait to watch the entire series. Been a while since I've seen this show. Wish the cinematic film would have been better so we could have multiple films.
It is such a great series! I will never watch that movie, maybe one day someone who has competent knowledge of the show will adapt it properly.

Thanks for the comment! I love this series and have seen it about that many times as well. My favorite character(s) are Zuko and Iroh. Zuko's growth is really fleshed out and is both lovable and detestable. Iroh is what I want to be as an old man, and that character gives everyone around him growth. Such a phenomenal show.

really wish they had put the original disc artwork on the blu Ray discs too so they wouldn't look so boring. I mean atleast have the the blu ray symbol at the top or in the middle of the disc.

Amazon is releasing it here in june 5, so I have to wait a few days. I mean yes it has been a long time coming, espeshally since legend of kora already has it's own blu ray set already.

Hi, I'm from Mexico, and I wanted to ask if the series is available in spanish, especially the third season, since only the third season is in english in the DVD.

I have never known this was a thing until recently, I saw this at target yesterday and got so hyped!! Nickelodeon almost never puts their stuff on bluray so this is super great!!! I hope I can buy it one day

In Book 2, my favorite episode Book Two: Earth "The Drill" is missing from the set. Has anyone notice this from the bluray set?
I got the series on bluray the day after it release it looks nice and everything but its not even in full screen or 16:9, which is sad because the dvd release is in full screen.
I can understand that, I used to be a fullscreen purist myself (not saying that you are btw). :)

Para mi si lo valio, es lo que se ve en el video, es el mismo precio que la version en DVD, mejora un poco la calidad y tiene todos los episodios en español a diferencia de la version en dvd, que era lo que buscaba.
I only ever watched a handful of disjointed episodes on tv when I was a kid. Now I’ve got it on blu ray and can watch the whole series for the first time. I also got Korra on blu ray which i’ve never really watched either

In my own opinion I thought avatar The Last Airbender was much better than the Legend of Korra series and I can't wait for the live-action TV series avatar The Last Airbender to come out next year

Does anybody know if it'll be available in other countries? I have the DVD Version in German and would like to have the Blu Ray version aswell. But can't find a release date for the Blu Rays for other countries than the USA.

Wth, Did it really need to be split into that many discs? Its gonna be such a mood killer to binge watch and then have to pause to change the disk.
Beats me, probably to charge more for the product honestly. More discs, more $$$. They could have put each Book into 2 discs making it 6 instead of 9. That is my opinion.

Yes, the discs have Spanish dub but not subtitle, just audio. Hope this helps!

These are superior to the DVD collection, although I will admit that I have only seen the DVD collection once through (I had the individual releases prior to the collection). I am happy to finally have it on Blu-Ray! Thanks for commenting!

No major edits. Just one scene that had roughly one second cut in the episode "The Chase."
The Infinite Draw what do you mean just 1 second cut? Does it affect the episode?

Got a question. Online it says the episodes are out of order, as in disc one isn't the first 5 episodes, it's a bunch of episodes form throughout the season. Is that true?

I got the complete series on dvd and i noticed every episode of season 1 had double lines and looked very blurry is this fixed in the blu ray version
It looked better when I saw the series on Blu-ray a few months back, so I believe it to be fixed!

I'm assuming it's because they wanted to divide each of the special features across each disc.
The discs they used probably couldn't fit a whole season onto a single disc each, so they decided to spread it across.

Australia always gets stuck with lazy half-assed cover art. We don't get the slipcover that reveals that gorgeous colourful artwork. Just the blue cover.

Why would you buy this? This series is 14 years old and was made in NTSC resolution. Meaning it’s not even 720p. It’s like buying dragon ball z on blu ray

I am not seeing it say anything about Region 1 (although, I assume that it is unfortunately). I am looking for it all over too. I would suggest getting a region-free player, but I know that may be a tall order. Thanks for commenting and I am sorry that I couldn't adequately answer your question.

I found that aswell. That uncertainty about the subject was all I could find on the internett... i have stared and stared at different video footage of the blu-ray cover and the discs themselves, And it seems not even the creators wanted anyone to know for certain what region the discs are playable inn. I cant see any text or logo telling wich region it is!
Sorry for the rant... I guess im just venting some of my frustrations dealing with foreign cartoons (mostly American and Japanese...).
I guess I will have to... urgh... pirate... I feel bad for it but if they are just going to give me no other options then its their fault. I imported the british dvd collection of both the original show, and Korra... so i shouldnt feel bad actually...
