i remember listening this entire album in high school and falling into a melodic romance with Karen O. This was by far my favorite song on the album.

I think this song actually has at least a triple meaning. Basically Pin=sex. It's a phallic object that you push in. Pin=drugs, cocain, heroine anything else you use a needle for. Both of those can relate to addiction. The last is pins in butterfly displays like in this video, which acts as a metaphor for being trapped in the thrall of someone else's personality. Being in a butterfly collection could be metaphorically like being a notch on someone's bed post so to speak.

I have heard this song just once, around the time it came out. I didn't catch who it was by but the chorus just stuck in my brain. Since then I have been searching for this song but all in vain. Still remembering the refrain, I would singing it out loud to myself in a good mood.. Yesterday, I did my round of the refrain again telling my boyfriend that I will probably never find the song, and he's looking all perplexed and tells me he knows who it is by, and thought I knew too, cause he heard me sing it so often..
