This was my first time hearing it , and I have to say it was a beautiful surprise ! Not that one of the greatest bands ever should surprise me ( if that makes sense ) thank you for listening and thank you for sharing . It means a lot 😎👍
YES!! My personal opinion is that this is a masterpiece. If it were a painting, it would hang in the Louvre. I have a feeling we would get along having a pint or two. Your opinion isn’t any better OR worse, it’s your opinion and is valid.
Everything Led Zeppelin did was absolutely amazing, they have several great Blues songs. Checkout live at Madison Square Gardens (1973), Since I’ve Been Loving You. I also love live from Earls Court, the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying, another killer Blues song. Studio version off their first album You Shook Me, 3 great solos keyboards harmonica guitar, great vocals & drumming. You can’t go wrong with any of their songs.
"Presence" is my favorite Zep album: starts with "Achilles Last Stand" and closes with "Tea For One" (even if I loathe "Hots On For Nowhere" and I don't have much use of "Candy Store Rock", I love the remaining tracks so much that it compensate)
1976 was a strange year. Over-shadowed by TSRTS was a factor, as were delays. Equally the music press had shifted, what hadn't was the mastery, performance, production and artistry of Zeppelin. But the hacks were turning towards the emergence of punk, via the arrival of The Ramones. It became a journalistic badge of 'coolness' to be critical to established bands, especially of the global status of LZ.
I think those shifts ( by media journalists) can be positive or negative, the sheer domination by Zep and Rock bands up until then , and the culture change disco included had to give rise to criticism of headline bands
@@verginithe I just couldn’t find anything in it that was nothing but really good , great lyrics , obviously outstanding musicians , a song put together to listen too 😊 thank you for your kind words
Wow, it's not every day you get a "Tea for One" reaction! 🍵 I feel like this would have fit right in on their first, bluesy album. Not one of their best, but not boring at all either.
@@alan-reacts65this album was recorded while Plant was in a wheelchair, not knowing if he’d walk again. Robert his wife Maureen their son & daughter, & Jimmy’s daughter were in a serious car accident. Robert had a crushed leg & shoulder, his wife had a skull fracture, they both had other injuries too. His wife needed to be flown to another hospital, she would have died without a blood transfusion. He had to be away from her & his family, because Page & manager Grant wanted to get this album out, since Plant wouldn’t e able to tour. Robert was missing his wife, so this is his pure emotion. This is a beautiful song, & several others on it, amazing song Achilles Last Stand, will blow your mind. I hope to see more Led Zeppelin reactions from you, & thank you. Pages guitar playing is absolutely gorgeous on Tea For One.
My favorite band and my favorite blues song ❤❤❤

Adoro todo o arranjo da música 🎶
I remember the 2nd Zep concert I went to--Plant sat on a stool for the concert. Pure rock blues...
Good morning Julie , fyi I’m listening to the concert you sent me today , which also happens to be my brothers birthday 🎁 so a double day 😊🎁
@@alan-reacts65 I hope you enjoyed both!
Nice well put reaction, this is a great song, the critics seemed to be a little harsh on Zep.

Thank you , it’s in the channel because the channel has music lovers guiding me 😎👍
Ooh I disagree I think it's one of their finest pieces of music emotion and technical mastery

A great song by a great band off of a great album, who cares if some a**hole at Rolling Stone didn’t like it..🤨
Well said my friend , well said 😎
