@blanketstarry7725 but a blanket ban isn't a bad aid... lol. And you confirmed exactly what he said.. they are banned in a lot of places because they are dangerous animals when not given the training and attention they need. Yes this can be said about almost all breeds but pits are especially vicious once their domestication is broken. I owned a very kind and gentle pit that would cower behind me... It really comes to training. But he was correct and these are still animals that can be very dangerous and a lot of people use training to achieve the opposite of nice. Dogs are incredibly obersant creature. They analyze the body language. Pheromones. Heartbeat. Facial expressions. Smell. Social climate. They are excellent at understanding human behaviour. I love the demonstration.

Sad reality - dogs put themselves in danger & can suffer deadly injuries in such situations especially with weapons & knife involved. Yet as a species, they’ve truly dedicated themselves to humans & they deserve all the love & care in the world 😘
Humunas giving foods to dogs, dogs protecting the humans - This is a mutual relationship between humans and dogs/ancient wolves for thousands of years. They are just doing their thing
Yup. And how many times does someone with this job have to endure being bitten like this? I can't imagine that it gets any less scary each time. The suit doesn't make it less scary, haha.
The amount of training this man put into these dogs is amazing . Does smart dog and he's well-trained. This kind of training is why he makes a big bucks. Awesome job
Thats crazy. The dog literally knew he was reaching for something. Before his arm even got around his hip the dog was on him. Thats the fastest reaction to anything ive ever seen. Wow
He is an INCREDIBLE animal. The training, effort and sheer dedication required for this level of partnership is lifelong commitment….i wish more dogs could experience this level of owner effort.
They amputated his ears to look more fierce. Most likely, the dog also got beaten (or electroshocked) a lot during training so he takes the commands more seriously. Also he was bred to suffer from restricted breathing.
If they did, particularly with a large bull breed, they probably wouldn’t have the reputation that they have. (The dog isn’t the only one that’s learning queues in this partnership either!)
@Andreas-gh6is WITH the exception of croping the ears...PART OF WHICH IS UNTRUE>>> BECAUSE even ppl who just fight their dogs crop them to prevent injury ok? So it's not just about a look. She was on a full body suit in less than 5 months. She was also NEVER to go to a window and possibly reveal her presence in my place. She was registered with in the US with the AKC and also with Germany. I raised her to be trained in mostly German with her commands. ALSO some of her training came 😢from 2 tribal languages, and very little English. She had hand signals as well to silently train her which is important if you're in a room and you want her to peek and look anf come back and report back with her sign. NONE of that was or has to be done with anything uou mentioned as what you feel is the standard way of training. I ALSO NEVER did it with any dogs that were sent to me for REcalibration and possibly returning or REhoming. My last dog, a Black Lab, a Pitbull AND a Great Dane mix figured it out. So IF a dog that's part Scooby Doo cam figure it out there's hope for any dog. Trust me he WAS harder to train because he was a big baby, and abused before I got him. But after we established trust he STILL was just a 60 lb "PUPPY" I'd taken on. It took about two months for him to get it totally together with this. Trust, Calmness AND REPETITION REPETITION REPETITION~IF it takes a 100 XS for them to do it correctly, FROM start to finish and calmly. Then you break the exercise At that point and start again and oh well, it'll take a 100 xs for them to do it. The end goal IS two gears meshing perfectly in how they communicate in the home verbally AND nonverbally. #NYGenXBIKERLady
for what? this is asking a dog to sit. when you train them to bite with one specific movement its not a fucking miracle they respond to it on command. bro use your brain. cant believe people like you can vote.
This dog has better situational awareness than most people. Doesn't attack until a threat is immediately presented. Even when we knew the man had a knife, the dog did not, so it did not attack. Once the knife was presented and being used with force, the dog attacked. Would love to see a video of how this dog reacts to a weapon being presented in a non-threatening way.
In other videos he shows the knife without using it and the the dog doesn't budge. While I'm sure the dog recognizes the knife as a reason to be alert, It's definitely the aggressive motion that it looks for before jumping.
There’s a vein (or artery I forget which) in your bicep that will kill you in minutes if ruptured. Not a very good spot to be bitten by a dog of that strength.
This is a great protector! Even IF the “attacker” looks and acts friendly, he was ready for any attack! Good boy staying calm but aware at all times! No attacks were made until there was the threat of an attack. 👏👏👏👏
I also had the chance to wear a vest and take on an American Bully. The vest protects you from the teeth, but the pressure from the bite is incredible. I had bruises on my arm for two weeks.
I had the same with a Belgian malinois last year. And people also don’t realise just how thick them jackets are. I’ve said before that if I didn’t have the protective clothing on, that dog could have ripped my arm off easily.
Brother I was attacked by a regular dog while I was walking. Saw a couple on a bench with their dogs, was looking at the sunset view on my left, glances to the right towards the two then literally see the dog on my leg. Luckily he wasn’t bitting my leg but instead tearing my pants.
@@mr.brightsouls7861I mean even if they are treating it well overall I don’t support people who crop ears, it’s so wildly disproven to be useful that doing it is just animal cruelty.
To be fair, my ferret definitely tries, but she's way too tiny to really do anything.. except for being absolutely adorable whenever she attempts to be ferocious. 😆
Thats a well trained dog, as soon as you started walking and surrounding the kid it barked in warning for both you and the kid to be aware of the situation, and as soon as he noted a weird movemente he went on, that is good training and a good dog
@decenthumanbeing67 for me to express myself and give my thoughts on what happened, for other people it could be just the dog turning around and barking to the guy
The only problem is… if the boys friend was to just mess about or play fight with the boy like kids do the dog won’t know any different and maul the kids friend would it not ?
Oh, what a clever boy and sweet angel! My dog is the same, without ever having received any training. It comes natural to him to protect me whenever he sniffs aggression , verbal or physical towards me. He is my guardian angel. Animals are angels. Please respect them.
Maybe I'm misinformed, but what if someone around that dog made a sudden, harmless movement? Would the dog be able to tell the difference? I doubt it-I bet the dog would react the same way.
yeah for sure, the person would have to be conscious of not making any lunging/threatening movements towards the owner when the dog is locked on to them. You can see in dogs body language when they are about to attack.
Humans are capable of the same error in judgement. I think the dog did very well distinguishing between threat and nonthreatening. Just because a snake coils itself doesn't mean it will bite you. Just that it's ready if need be.
Quick Story: I was 10 yrs old growing up in a small Oregon coast town. Dad was at work, I was home (closest neighbor over a mile away) doing chores with my yellow lab 'Jed.' my current task was to dig a hole and plant some kind of decorative bush. Jed was laying next to me when he sat up and started to growel at a huge fern about 15' behind me. He then ran at the fern and leaped over it while growling and barking wildly. A man suddenly jumped up and started running down the dirt path screaming! I could see my Jed had bitten down good on his lower butt/upper thigh and was not about to let go. I took off to the house yelling for Jed. He came back right on my heels and stood by the side door for some time. I never saw that man again. To this day, I believed my dog saved me. That happened in 1983... I'm now 51.
Most people don't seem to realize we're putting these dogs in danger, in many cases simply so a human police officer won't have to put *himself* in danger. In these cases, it's implied that the dog's life is less valuable than the human's. I think they should stick to using dogs for their ability to sniff out drugs and people, etc, and not use them to bite criminals.
😂😂😂😂 omg this made me Literally lol and it was a very genuine enjoyment that both caught me off guard but also quelled unrest deeeeep down in my acing soul as the medicine of laughter only can do. I thank you for authentically shzuhzing up my inards, dear www stranger! 😂😅😊
Everybody on here giving the dog his praise as do I but shout out to the guy and his son. They are the ones who spent time after the time after time training him to be that way the patient it takes to train a dog to be alert enough to do just that is amazing and I am pretty sure he have more commands. No matter how thick that suit it, that bite still hurt, you can see it in his face. Great training on both sides.
Saw a video before of a real skinny guy volunteer for the bite sleeve; the dogs bite force broke his arm through the sleeve. The pressure still hurts, they just can’t puncture the skin.
And if he falls does it go for his unprotected throat or face? Dude needs a lot more protection.

@@newbleppmore7855 bully breeds have lower bite records than german shepherds and Chihuahuas, they have higher dog-on-dog bite rates because of those bred for dogfighting that have not been properly trained out of that behavior. the actual reason for bans on the breeds is misinformation and a loooong history of racism based on who has historically owned the breed. i highly recommend looking into the history of dog breed bans and the ample evidence they do not reduce bite rates, lots of good reading out there!
@@newbleppmore7855 What an amazingly stupid comment. No dog attacks for no reason. They are banned in many places for a couple of reasons. @blanketstarry7725 but a blanket ban isn't a bad aid... lol. And you confirmed exactly what he said.. they are banned in a lot of places because they are dangerous animals when not given the training and attention they need.

Most people don't seem to realize we're putting these dogs in danger, in many cases simply so a human police officer won't have to put *himself* in danger. In these cases, it's implied that the dog's life is less valuable than the human's.
