This is the best Bianca interview I've seen. I absolutely love her passion for the industry and the role. When she said she had numerous photos of signs in her phone, I just loved it. I visit attractions and hotels and the like, and just see what can be improved. Over the years I've had so many interviews with Towers, and it always frustrated me that they saw career history above passion for the product and the park - Bianca seems to be one of the best Divisional Directors Towers has had. Well done on a great interview!!

You can already see the magic restoring in certain areas and that's from what... one event and a couple of months of marketing campaigns. Imagine what 2025 onwards is going to be like!

The format is definitely more online chats like with the other episodes (Wardley, Scott O Neil etc) so a face to face interview was definitely something I haven’t done for a while but with how often we communicate it was like talking to a friend so we were both very relaxed and I’m so glad it came across well!
she surely is good at the fine art of „corporate talk“ that leaves us all hopeful 😂 bless her. (don’t get me wrong she is very sympathetic she just does her job)
There's people who talk the talk and not walk the walk, Bianca does the talking and the walking and it's very evident already in how this season is lining up, 2024 is merely a stepping stone before an even more positive 2025 season
She rode the staff bus into towers a few times in 2023 to speak to the staff about transport into work and where they worked, if any changes need to be made to the service etc. which was nice
Rome wasn't built in a day as they say, definitely feel confident Alton will be heading in a much brighter future ahead, really enjoyed this chat plus im a sucker for an aussie too 😂❤
I can't wait for Alton this year I think the dark days of Alton are gone and there is now light at the end, the period between 2015-2023 seemed to be the era when the park really changed and whilst there were some great investments the overall park was on the decline, but now that seems to be taking a complete U-turn and they are bringing the Magic back.
You’d be very surprised how many messages like this I’ve had privately tonight. Couldn’t agree with you more, sadly hospitality is key over that way… 😔
Alton has long lost it's magic and it felt like nobody cared or cared but had minimal budget for years. After watching this, she seems genuinely passionate, great at listening and acting on it. Let's just hope Merlin loosen their purse strings finally and allow her to do an even better job, especially given they'll likely be competing with universal in a few years time, certainly got their work cut out before universal arrives. Hope the dire state of their parks has been whilst they save ready to combat that
Universal will be a VERY fun project for the UK and it'll be great to see how other UK parts adapt moving forward but in the here and now just seeing improvements in our parks is all we've ever wanted

There was a few things off the table in terms of what I could ask simply but those questions are unanswerable outside of what we already know in the public domain. Didn't want to ask questions that very clearly don't have answers. Glad you liked it!
Hi There, a great video, just wondering what's the latest with Project Horizon, it seems the future of Alton Towrs is continuous improvement on the overall experience to be immersive and inclusive as well as magical throughout. Cheers Peter :)
I can't comment on Project Horizon but stay tuned for all future updates as and when they arise / become available. If you have a look at the planning application online you can see what the current update is regarding the project, it's all publicly available
There were things that were off the table and with stuff like that there’s nothing you could say that you can’t already find publicly on the planning website anyways. No point asking questions that can’t facilitate an answer (yet)
Can someone tell her to bring back the summer concerts with big acts. There’s a reason why they managed to tip over 3 million on park in 2010 and that’s because they had acts like Pink performing. I worked there that year, 30K on park in a day would be normal, busy all the time, ride close extended all the time. They never been able to hit the guest attendance high that was 2010 since. Why aren’t they aiming toward that when it’s clearly achievable. She sounds good though, hopefully she’ll whip it into shape because it really isn’t the best it could be and it hasn’t been for a long time.
It’s more of a marathon not a sprint in my eyes, I’d love to see concerts back with big acts but I’m sure there’s reasons why it stopped. That stage is epic though, it deserves bigger scaled shows
@@LiftHillsandThrills I agree, there probably were reason but it should be on the list somewhere. There’s a huge catchment area locally that’s underserved when it comes to ‘big’ acts performing and many people just bought evening wristbands to attend the park/concert. And what a better location than right in front of the Towers.

@@mikekaraoke Naturally there's quite a lot of things that cannot be discussed (Ocean, Horizon etc) for obvious reasons and then there's the obvious Aramark questions when in reality that's not an AT decision, it's a Merlin one and a convo to be had with Merlin. Hex, Skyride etc seemed redundant to ask on why they were down as once again those details would never be disclosed and rightly so, the good thing is they're coming back and that's all that matters. Seems silly to ask questions that have no answers (yet) I'd love a trip to Futuroscope at some point :)
I really hope one of these things happens in 2025: 4D Cinema and Nickelodeon Outta Control are once again reused and open to the public New Flats across the park not just project ocean like in X Sector, Dark Forest and maybe the side of 4D Cinema. A New Log Flume somewhere in the park maybe in the middle of Congo River Rapids Pond. But whatever the case Alton Towers will still remain my number 1 park in the UK and my number 0 park overall
Last year was an observation year with everything already decided and put into place. This year is Bianca’s first year of full control, wait and see the differences

There's people who talk the talk and not walk the walk, Bianca does the talking and the walking and it's very evident already in how this season is lining up, 2024 is merely a stepping stone before an even more positive 2025 season

She rode the staff bus into towers a few times in 2023 to speak to the staff about transport into work and where they worked, if any changes need to be made to the service etc. which was nice

I can't wait for Alton this year I think the dark days of Alton are gone and there is now light at the end, the period between 2015-2023 seemed to be the era when the park really changed and whilst there were some great investments the overall park was on the decline, but now that seems to be taking a complete U-turn and they are bringing the Magic back.

Alton has long lost it's magic and it felt like nobody cared or cared but had minimal budget for years.
After watching this, she seems genuinely passionate, great at listening and acting on it. Let's just hope Merlin loosen their purse strings finally and allow her to do an even better job, especially given they'll likely be competing with universal in a few years time, certainly got their work cut out before universal arrives. Hope the dire state of their parks has been whilst they save ready to combat that
Universal will be a VERY fun project for the UK and it'll be great to see how other UK parts adapt moving forward but in the here and now just seeing improvements in our parks is all we've ever wanted

There was a few things off the table in terms of what I could ask simply but those questions are unanswerable outside of what we already know in the public domain. Didn't want to ask questions that very clearly don't have answers. Glad you liked it!

I can't comment on Project Horizon but stay tuned for all future updates as and when they arise / become available. If you have a look at the planning application online you can see what the current update is regarding the project, it's all publicly available

There were things that were off the table and with stuff like that there’s nothing you could say that you can’t already find publicly on the planning website anyways. No point asking questions that can’t facilitate an answer (yet)
Can someone tell her to bring back the summer concerts with big acts.
There’s a reason why they managed to tip over 3 million on park in 2010 and that’s because they had acts like Pink performing.
I worked there that year, 30K on park in a day would be normal, busy all the time, ride close extended all the time.
They never been able to hit the guest attendance high that was 2010 since.
Why aren’t they aiming toward that when it’s clearly achievable.
She sounds good though, hopefully she’ll whip it into shape because it really isn’t the best it could be and it hasn’t been for a long time.
It’s more of a marathon not a sprint in my eyes, I’d love to see concerts back with big acts but I’m sure there’s reasons why it stopped. That stage is epic though, it deserves bigger scaled shows

There’s a huge catchment area locally that’s underserved when it comes to ‘big’ acts performing and many people just bought evening wristbands to attend the park/concert.
And what a better location than right in front of the Towers.

@@mikekaraoke Naturally there's quite a lot of things that cannot be discussed (Ocean, Horizon etc) for obvious reasons and then there's the obvious Aramark questions when in reality that's not an AT decision, it's a Merlin one and a convo to be had with Merlin. Hex, Skyride etc seemed redundant to ask on why they were down as once again those details would never be disclosed and rightly so, the good thing is they're coming back and that's all that matters. Seems silly to ask questions that have no answers (yet)
I'd love a trip to Futuroscope at some point :)

I really hope one of these things happens in 2025:
4D Cinema and Nickelodeon Outta Control are once again reused and open to the public
New Flats across the park not just project ocean like in X Sector, Dark Forest and maybe the side of 4D Cinema.
A New Log Flume somewhere in the park maybe in the middle of Congo River Rapids Pond.
But whatever the case Alton Towers will still remain my number 1 park in the UK and my number 0 park overall

Last year was an observation year with everything already decided and put into place. This year is Bianca’s first year of full control, wait and see the differences
