This MM200 Reduced is a very appealing, tempting watch. Seiko is addictive. I've had many MM200s and I was never satisfied. I have a Captain Willard, still not satisfied. I have a beautiful blue MM300 and a gorgeous SLA051 and I should be content with those, yet here I am gawking at the SPB207.
I’m wearing the SPB187 right now. This new MM200 is so much better then the older version, imo. The case is great and really hugs the wrist. Normally I’m wearing 40mm max, but this 42mm is lovely due to the Seiko Magic. It wears like a 40mm.
I own the SPB185 - actually wearing it right now - and love it even more than I thought I would. Case finishing is incredible and I’m partial to the MM handset. It’s undeniably a Seiko diver yet different enough to stand out thanks to the stainless bezel insert.
I love this watch. Hate the bezel though. Switched the bezel with the stainless steel version. Now I have it on a AM rubberstrap with the original clasp. Best watch ever.
My lume pip was terrible on the bezel insert so I switched out for a Namoki ceramic sea-dweller insert. Now I like it more than my other watches that are triple the price
Just picked up grey market one for $859. Came with all the goods. Got lucky with perfect alignment. Running 5 seconds fast. Got a 7” wrist and love the fit.
Also got spb207 at watchkeeper Singapore for $990. Alignment off just barely enough to notice. Other than that, totally in love. 3 seconds per day fast. Have tried on MM300, 207 is my size MM.
Great video Random Rob. I am a fan of your video. I have this watch exactly as well as the PADI sumo. This wears really nice and so does the sumo, but this one wears better in a 7 inch wrist. I wish they had the crown from the Sumo on this watch. It has better knurling on it and looks like it would fit this watch. The bezel looks like a ceramic but it is in fact stainless steel.
I used to think that MM200 reduced series isn't worth the price until I saw and bought the SPB299J1 STO Glacier. Now I'm hooked. Not the first time this happened to me when it comes to Seikos.
I'm smiling a bit, cause I caught one of these on sale for just about 1000$ and I had to see it in person, not ordering online. Man, the finishing is tens of times better than a 300$ Seiko and I got lucky (it seems) with a perfect alignment of the bezel.. Also, only a 5 sec deviation after 2 days, must be the perfect temperature just now. I have to say, this might be my last watch, unless I decide to buy my unicorn, one of the spring drive lx
The size of the date an then the placement, what a miss. It would be a perfect watch. I love those long minute markers, those hands an all the rest is a true beauty✨spb151 pre-Iso Willard date window would be the perfect match
I have the spb143. Beautiful all over piece. But the 6R movement erratic and all over the place. Seiko need to develop a more consistent / reliable movement for the mid range models. Something on parr with the selita sw 200. Lots of killer watches this year but not into rolling the dice for getting one that’s not all over the place movement wise….
I’ve got an SBDC065 and almost got the reduced. Now I feel like the sides of the MM200 look unfinished compared to the reduced and that flat edge I didn’t like before looks petty good to me now. I do wish the Bezel Insert numbers weren’t so bright white and were more silver like the MM200 or 63 MAS.
I was tempted to get this green MM200 reduced. I already have an MM200 SBDC061, MM200 SBDC065, and an MM300 SBDC017. Other than the case size and handset, it’s not much different than my MM200. Although I do like the handset on the reduced better than the MM200.
Wow,that's a great collection ,and here I am deciding which one should be my first Sla047 (mm300 )or Spb207 (mm200).. I understand it's subjective ,but the mm300 ,is it for daily wear? or will it only grace the watch box!! ..presently the sla047 is avlb at just about 2200 USD...I m sure it a sweet deal.. Wats your take.??
Dear Rob, for the first time you have distracted your custoers when reviewing this great diver watch from Seiko. It is another baby MM that you like most from Seiko.
1350 dollar and they still don't bother lining up the bezel correctly. I wouldn't buy a Seiko over 500 because it seems like they put just as much effort on those cheap ones as the expensive ones anyway
@@RandomRobReviews doh?! That's right. Well, I'm sure you could work with clockwork republic to make a nice matching green one for you if they don't already have one.
As of todays date 12/23/21 and pretty much the whole year and before the cheapest ive seen a SKX is $450 on amazon and ebay. .the most ive seen it for was just north of $700..for a watch with its limited capability and accuracy I think i will pass. I guess I missed the boat as to when they were going for $200
This isn’t criticism but more of a real question…but how do you justify spending over $1300 on a watch that resembles the Skx so much ($300 watch)? Obviously you can do whatever you want, but if you wanted the green dial or more high end look you could always cheaply mod an Skx. Just my two cents. Love your channel please keep putting our awesome content 👏🏻
Solid question really. Can be applied to just about every watch purchase though. They all have subtle differences of course. It’s a hobby that I enjoy so much of the logic goes out the window. Haha
"It's a half a click off like all Seikos" Both funny and sad how you can buy sub-$100 Chinese watches that line up perfectly yet Seiko can't do this on their divers no matter how expensive they are. Pitiful.
I have six Seiko divers, including this one, and I've owned 10. I have yet to have one that has had a misaligned chapter ring or bezel. I have, however had a misaligned Omega and Tag bezel. Go figure...
@@deltaws I suppose so. Mine have all exceeded Seiko's stated operating range expectations as well. So far I've been more than satisfied with the design, craftsmanship, durability and value of all my Seikos.

I got this earlier this year, put it on a green reptile band. Looks amazing. Ever time I have it on I just stare at it. The green is beyond words.

The Bezel is Stainless steel that's coated with Carbon Titanium if I remember correctly...

Nah the bezel is fire.

What rubber strap did you fit ?

Hey Arch if you don’t mind me asking where did you find yours at that low price?
Watchshopping.

Like those fitted end links; will definitely check them out. That Dark Green MM200 is nice. You are right that it looks better on the Green strap.
The Seiko always looks classy
"That's all relative, I suppose..." yo i was rollin', this is my watch collecting motto for 2022
I put my black Khaki King on an FKM recently. Absolutely agree with you Rob, it is awesome.
This has been on my wish list for a long time now, but I'm afraid of the misalignment issues.

I called it on your original MM200 video! I said you'd be getting the Irimoto green version. I've had this watch for a few months and love it.
It’s perfect
@@RandomRobReviews haven't worn my Rising Wave Transocean much at all since I got the MM200, and I love that watch and blue dial. Enjoy the watch!
I have this beauty waiting for me at my AD £937.50 . I love the Green , this is my second Seiko , crown at 4AM 👍ceramic bezel 👍 & crystel glass 👍 .
i've got the 207, it's my only expensive watch. beautiful, just right for my little wrist, but i must admit that when i'm in water i wear my duro.

Got a new one for half price now! After 12 days, i think full price altso is great ;) That dial is priceless !
That green
Best thing? 12.5 mm case thickness.
Love those straps! Cool watch.
Cheers mate, have a Happy Christmas 🌲☃️🎅🏻🥂👍
Take note, it's not a ceramic bezel insert. Cheers!
It looks like ceramic. Is it the coated steel they do?
@@RandomRobReviews yes. Looks great on all of them.
@@RandomRobReviews Yeah, similar to the 187.
I actually think it's the best seiko diver ever!

Same problem here. 6r movements are simply too random whatever the price level (and particularly in the featured watch).
I think whichever mm200 you like the overall design is classic Seiko.
Ha, i'm wearing this watch and watching your review!
Would fit perfectly to my 2020 Mustang Bullit... damn... 😅 i love british racing green
Green strap looked good on there
Love the red accent on the second hand.
Is it so much better than the Sumo? The Sumo has awesome build quality in my opinion.
No, it's better than the Sumo but not substantially. This could even be considered as Sumo Reduced 🤣

Is the bezel really ceramic? I thought they were not in these mm200
Only 5998 more available... :)
Mm 200 is fire 🔥 either this or the blue top notch watch specially for the price 1,350
Did you try the green strap on your sarb059? It'll probably help bring it green in the sarb059 dial too
20mm lugs though

What is the model of the white dial watch that is shown at 1:10
Clock work republic Straps are the best rubber straps for 5kx skx better then crafter blue for sore..
Have you seen the new G-Shock DW5600GU-7 I do believe it is a limited edition as well. Must do a review. OK thanks.

bezel not fitted properly , no thanks , you mentioned all seiko are the same.
I just for some reason think of Ben 10 when I see this lol
Let’s go
For $1300 USD I better not be 1/2 click off! Embarrassing that Seiko would allow that out the door.
@Kyle just order from Gnomon and be done with it..They get it right every time for me with qc pics and all..
Nice

The seikos priced 900+ dollars is a crime. They are 2 expensive
Ah, another Seiko diver with the infamous 6R35 movement.
Way too expensive and I would rather get a Proxima MM300 for it....
Non aligned bezel for $1350…come on now.
