Great work, legend. I came to know that you can also set the type of firmarepasswd mode: "command" or "full". I kept wondering why my mac wasn't asking me for a firmware password at every bootup until i saw this video!!!
Is there a way to make sure your mac always startsup with the firmware password locked screen? You can do this if you also have a guest account on your computer. But can it be done without a guest account or another account? I'd like to have my iMac to always startup with the firmware password locked screen, but only have my account and not another (guest or otherwise)! Thanks!!
thanks so much for this! i was not able to access recovery mode somehow, due to it not accepting my firmware pw (which i set unknowingly smh). whith this i was able to disable firmware pw using terminal, and i'm not a terminal user at all
It works. Only the process of entering the password is different. If I remember correctly, when you turn it on, you must leave the power button pressed (the fingerprint button) and the options to enter the password appear there.
