Since the light mode feature was introduced in 10 version 1903, everytime you open light theme, the store icon turn black, and it will turn white again when you return to Dark mode
Thats only for the taskbar it wouldn't show if it was with the theme so thats why they did it
@@Kryptictails also for the start menu. In light mode it shows as a black one.
Oh really? Cool. Mine’s always white because I prefer dark mode; it saves power and also, I’m a gamer and would prefer to sleep at night. (But hey, at least light mode isn’t as bad as Discord’s light theme…)
@@badpiggies988 light mode is more fluent but dark mode is more easy to eyes for me atleast
You could also include Windows Marketplace icons from Windows XP and Vista

I liked Windows 8 a lot, massive UI upgrades and redesigns from Win 7,
Booting it on my unsupported hardware with limited internet connection was the best thing I ever did.
These new changes made rolling back to Windows 7 seem like going back centuries.

When I first saw windows 8 my mind was blown at how modern it looks. 7 years later and its still blown by how modern it looks. Such a shame it failed.
Even though Windows 8 was a flop, to me it was like the bare bones to today's Windows 10 and without it, Windows 10 wouldn't look like what we see today

The Windows 8 Beta ones are just the same, They only changed the panel color and shrinked the logo in Build 8250. (Obviously the final one is diferent)
I thought the Windows 8 and 8.1 store icon were the same. Well, I mostly see it on the taskbar, so that makes sense that I couldn’t saw the difference.
Oh and by the way I don’t use Windows 8 daily but I still see it on the taskbar mostly in Windows 10

When including betas into windows 8 and 11. Windows 8 Dev Version: Has the market bag icon with a circle rope. Windows 8: Square rope. Windows 8 icon from the market bag. Windows 8.1-10: Windows 8.1 icon. Has circle rope at top of the market bag again. Windows 10 (Dark): Has the circle rope different. Market bag was replaced into a new microsoft icon one. Windows 10 (Light): Has the white ones. Windows 11 Dark: The circle rope was replaced still a blue in Windows 11 colors. And the flat rectangle rope.

Windows 11 light was one of my favorites (they only did it to the taskbar and the start tho, idk why they wouldn't do it on desktop but ok) same with windows 10 1903-21H1

I know this is late but what virtual machine program did you use for your Mac OS X evolution video? And how did you get the ratio 16:9??
Probably VMware
VMware and VirtualBox have these tools (its like an app that VMware or VirtualBox (depends on what you use lol) offers that makes the vm work better, including screen resolution) and when you finish setting up the VM, you can "import" the tools thingy and bam lol

That’s really hard unless you’re running them from a genuine mac, where you can just use the existing media creation feature typically used for drive wiping to get the iso for the mac’s particular version. Apple’s spent the past 15-ish years straining to break hackintoshes in some very creative ways.

@@aussiehtc5635 Win11 already seems to mostly be yet another example of Windows’ age-old alternate OS jinx. Many of the changes seem to try and fix “problems” with win10 that just don’t exist, such as the fact that the taskbar didn’t have the items get dots beneath them like in macOS and linux distros with default (yes, DEFAULT) UIs inspired by its look (e.g. ChromeOS, ubuntu), its icons didn’t bounce when clicked like on macs, and it wasn’t centered by default like it is on macs, the existence of live tiles (which I think were a great touch that should’ve been usable for desktop apps and could’ve at least had the option of being re-enabled for those who will one day be nostalgic for Win10 myself included- like they did with win8’s tablet-friendly start screen in Win10 and newer), and the odd need to radically transform the familiar, tried-and-true start menu format into one that’s totally unrecognizable- AGAIN (like win8 did).
That being said, there are some planned good features like better Xbox integration to compete with their neighbor ValvE’s rapidly evolving Steam (which now has VR headsets and some new performance and QOL features for m1 macs apparently while xboxes and MS Store-based pc games aren’t as seamlessly integrated as “steam os” alienware consoles and steam computer gaming are), as well as android mobile app emulation and general gaming-related QOL changes to compete with the catching-up macs. I think these will probably make Windows 12 a big success like XP with ME’s DirectX, 7 with Vista’s beautifully-designed user interface, larger pinned taskbar icons and less-clunky start menu, and 10 with 8.1’s tablet compatibility and tablet-friendly tiles as well as its start screen as an optional feature that’s disabled by default.
They should’ve kept following Apple’s example, followed their initial plan of turning win10 into their OS X and then just kept indefinitely pushing out small updates to it once a year/quarter, rather than just continuing to release big ones once a decade that will always inevitably follow a risky boom-and-bust cycle where a good Windows (e.g. 98, XP, 7, 10) is always followed by a much-reviled sacrificial lamb (e.g. ME, Vista, 8, probably 11) whose *beneficial* features will then be taken and made part of a new, good Windows that does it right.
In short, MS trying to replace awesome, user-friendly Windows versions with half-baked ones that change everything to try and solve nonexistent problems purely for the sake of change never ends well.

You can separate the the microsoft store icon of windows 8 release preview and windows 8 rtm .
I have windows 11 store icon on my windows 10 pc. This applies to other versions of supported windows 10 builds.
That's obvious since the icon changes with the app version, it doesn't depends on your OS version

I don't get why the Store Icon isn't dark on dark mode in windows 11. Makes no sense and I like the dark logo way more. Would be cool if you could change that.
It is because it would blend into the background too much which makes it very hard to see

@@Sv_gamez the system as a whole is just windows vista service pack 3, but if they called it that it wouldn't blow off the sour taste in people's mouths, so they just slapped it a different name and people go haywire on how good it is.
