A beautiful Medieval map from the 2018 - 1024³ limit - Xmas Jam.
Gameplay had to stay within 1,024 units in either direction (x, y, & z).
This map uses the mod, Arcane Dimensions 1.7 (included in download).

man, people making such sweet candy detailed environments for sure fall in love with Quake back in 1996, this is almost an RPG FPP game lol

They really oughta add a new area to the AD hub for more maps like these. The two hubs they have are already badass, even let’s you get to the test maps and the original Quake maps. But there are so many simply astounding arcane dimensions maps released after the fact. I’m working on a few myself and I’m creating my own hub for them.

Quake, Unreal, Half-Life, Thief, System Shock 2 and Deus Ex are my favorite FPS games ever. The late 90s were just special for FPS genre

You'd have to check out the author's ReadMe file, if they included that information. However, I can see some Daikatana brick in the screenshot.
In Quake, WADs house the texture information for the building process only (textures are embedded in the finalized BSP file). Things are different in Doom.
Whose idea was it to mash the doom shotgun sound with the Quake one?

Possibly. I tend to err on the side of caution, so simply walking there seemed to suffice! 😊
Plus, it's a pretty map, so it's not like I wasn't enjoying the visuals during those few seconds.
