- In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we follow the story of 6 wonderkids, who all have the personality of Determined. However, the range of attributes vary wildly but they're all considered 'Determined'. Will the players reach their potential, or will they flounder and underwhelm?

Where are they now?
Luka Stefanovic - dabbled in the art world during his playing days in Paris. Made and lost several fortunes betting on new and unknown artists, but it was never about the money for Luka, it was for the love of art.
Sorin Popescu - invested his player earnings wisely, retired to a huge estate in Cheshire with his supermodel wife where they spend their days doing their hobbies. What hobbies? That's their secret.
Alexander Bjorklund - went back to his native Pietarsaari where he bought the local farm machinery dealership making mad money.
Mateusz Brozek - got an unremarkable and unambitious job at the tire factory in Debica in Poland. Married an unremarkable woman, and had four unremarkable kids. Is happy though.
Gisli Hilmarsson - became a travel influencer, specializing in less visited, more dangerous places. Last heard from when he tried to cross the Darrien Gap on a pushbike.
Kyle McLevy - became consumed with the idea of playing in the Champions League which ended up with him invading the pitch during the 2049 semi final between Arsenal and Real Madrid in his full Bournemouth kit.
haha ... my reflections are slightly different though. I was thinking - damn, even the lowliest guy in this shortlist made more money than me (I didnt check, but should be), and supposingly doing something he loves.
These are incredible. I genuinely love them. I feel they deserve so much more recognition than they receive.

5:50 Fellow Romanian here, so in the 2nd division of Romania you only play one half of a season, then you get championship group for the teams from 1-6 (who play each other 2 times) and 2 relegation groups (made out of 7 teams) in which they play each other 1 time. That's why Ceahlaul we're the champions from 6th whilst Resita we're relegated from 12th for e.g. Super complicated system

Another video I didnt know I need~! Thanks~! 😅 It is known that these descriptions are deliberately made fuzzy so that the Mpappe-s and the Sancho-s, etc would not sue SI to death for calling them "Entitled whiny brats". Such brats, I mean, players are mostly Balanced. I think. 😅
P.S. I have the impression that Bellingham is becoming one, ahem, Balanced personality. Winning too early (and earning way too much) at an early age could and would warp one's sense of reality.
... anyway, back to talking about the game we love (to hate). 😅 I noticed the Determined thingy quite early. There was once I had a 4.5*-5* regen (this was way before I S/L for regens, after watching EBFM's videos). A Determined CB. "That's great~!" I remember thinking. Send him out on loans, etc ... he never got above 3*.
At that time, decent HGC players were few and far in between, so I am sort of stuck with him. At one time, thought that I sabotaged his development because I did retrain him into a Natural RB (and made him an Accomplished LB with a Right foot, ha) ... His stats are all 14-ish, i mean. He did turn out to be a reliable squad CB. And as always, I gave backups at least 10+ starts and 20-30 apps overall (in an easy CL group, they would actually have 4 starts after the first two wins). Important for maintaining CA after 24yo ... And, think once I had to start this CB in a CL final. Scored an own goal in the 4th min i think. I am like, you motherf ... but this is where a Determined personality shined. He also was the same player who scored the equalizer off a corner. Won that final in the end.
The guy was the HGC vice-captain who was essentially a 3* (reliable) backup. I used to think he did great just because of his Determination. After watching your video, it may turn out that his other hidden attributes are good too. Again, thanks~! 😅
Haha I'm glad i can keep growing your FM knowledge and delivering videos you didn't know you needed. We all need to understand personality types better, because they're what makes a player world class, or a flop, as we've seen through so many experiments. Now we can't even trust the good personality types haha
That's a cool experiment, another good could be the spectre of Unambitious, I've had them with normal growth and others that didn't grow at all.
Definitely want to delve into some of the bad personalities aswell
What might slow down Gisli's developement is the fact that even clubs in the islandic topflight are just semiprofessional. That's why his developement exploded in the 1st year after moving abroad.

Great 3 games i think, especially beating Port Vale! I think all 3 teams played very weak/young sides against us but still, not getting thrashed by professional opposition I think is great for us

I am kind of curious to see if kylian Mbappe would keep getting better if you switch his personality,that's a nice idea,switching current personalities to see how they affect existing players.
He's close to his max PA anyway but an interesting idea 💡
Do one for ole gunnar solskjaer being jamaica potential manager, would be different but i would love to see something that involves 🇯🇲

What about some sort of "late bloomer" test where all players start 120CA but you get:
Player A: 120CA/200PA, 26 Years old
Player B: 100CA/180PA, 21 years old
Player C: 80CA/160PA, 16 years old
Late bloomers don't improve that much, in my humble experiences. While I have never peeked at CA/PA in-game, I am willing to bet that Player A will not go beyond 159 CA unless he has close-to-perfect hidden attributes. Then again, if so, he would never have only 120 CA at 26yo ... It's how the game engine works. I know because I tried really hard a few times. In the end, selling them is really the best win-win-win option.🤷
I tried a late bloomer onr when they announced it was a new feature. Unfortunately it was a bit of a dud and I decided not to release it as I didn't like the video

@@jayhuahua I have no doubt, having watched the other personality episodes we have seen how ridiculous the scale of the personality.
Do it with bad personalities that could be good if they are on the high range instead of testing only the good personalities :)
